Great value, and good location, out of the hustle and bustle but close to McLeod Ganj center which is a wonderful town hosting the Dalai Lama temple and will provide all utilities you may need. It’s a short walk to Dharamkot and Bhagsu which are picturesque and interesting places, and the starting point to the breathtaking Triund hill hike at the foot of the Himalayas. Gorgeous views from the social roof terrace space and friendly accommodating staff who offer great food. All round great stay, would highly recommend.

Loved it 🥰. I loved everything about backpackers. People, food and The View 😍. Everyone around there is very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Aman, Rahul and Viraj for making me feel like home. Food quality is very good 😋 I ate a lot during my stay and everyone make sure to provide whatever my cravings are 😬. I went to Mcleodganj as solo traveller and came back with so many good friends and happy memories. Question: if I will go back? Umm definitely YES 😃.

Absolutely loved this place. A friend of mine recommended Backpackers inn to me & I am so glad that she did. The rooms are clean and hygienic, the place is quaint & peaceful. The staff was so generous to us with a great vibe, made me love the place even more. The food was amazing & I can’t emphasise how much I loved their masala chai. Can’t wait to come back here again. ❤️

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in India… Let me list the reasons… First, I paid and made my reservation on Priceline… when I arrived, the front desk said they had no reservation and no relationship with Priceline although I had been charged. Then, the water would “go out”, sometimes for days, and the staff would have to be reminded to turn it back on. When I asked the staff to clean my room, I had to ask repeatedly. Finally I asked for a broom and dustpan and trash bags so I could do it myself. They blatantly refused! Other guests had begun to throw out their trash in the hallways. Furthermore, the staff, with the exception of Vikash, do not understand the meaning of “hospitality” or what it means to be in the service industry. Very rude people and every single day something negative.

The rooms/beds as such are good. The views are also good.
Good: The room was excellent, big, nice balcony and view
Problems: 1. You need to climb up/down about 100 steep stairs from whichever way you come. So from here to market is 100 stairs + uphill walk of 5 mins.
2. The approach is not very clean (between stairs and this place.
3. I had a 5-night booking in superior room. But after 3 nights they asked me to shift to an adjacent building with tiny rooms and no view. (They had overbooked the place.)
After a lot of push they shifted me to another room in the same hotel, which was super small, and a tiny window with no balcony.
In my so many years of traveling .. faced such a problem for the 1st time where the same rooms were overbooked and existing guests made to move out.

This was my 2nd visit to mcleodganj and both the times I stayed at backpackers Inn.. And yes, I'll prefer to stay in this hostel cum hostel every time I'll visit mcleodganj or dharamshala. They have the best staffs and of course the owner Ganesh ji is the best❤️. Thank you backpackers inn for such a great hospitality. If you are travelling to mcleodganj or dharamshala do check out backpackers Inn.

This was my 6th visit to backpackers inn. Iam in love with this little space in mcleodganj.💜 Its a must stay in hostel/ hostel in the area . Staffs are kind and humble. ambience is good ,food is perfect, location is amazing. Owner Ganesh is good.

The best place you will find to stay in Mcleod ganj. Amazing amazing humble staffs they had. Viraj bhai and cha cha ji specially thanks to them . Food is nice , price is affordable , & owner Ganesh bhai is a really great host. The hostel vibe is amazing. Coming again for sure:)

This place was dirty and cold with terrible amenities. Doors were wide open when I hot there in the freezing cold. No shower head. The stirs to get there rewire the fitness of an Olympic athlete. I don't know what the travel agent paid, definitely only a budget option.
