Bespoke hospitality calls for extreme customer centricity. Udechee led by Yaduraaj and his team excels in that. While the 36 year young property does have the benefit of the best views of Dhauladhaar ranges, snow peaked heights, and a terrific location - what really takes one’s breath away is the perfect delivery of housekeeping, F&B and overall services. The level of amenities, the care and service of every staff member, fresh and organic local dishes, attention to protection of the environment and such small details make this boutique a priceless abode. This was our fifth stay at Udechee Huts..the experience was simply beyond words.We have visited n stayed here in every season and believe me the location introduces you to new hues in each part of the year..the piece de resistance is the unhindered view of dhauladhar range. Now to put things objectively: * The cottages have been remarkably upgraded.The floor is tiled, beds solid wood..useful furniture, crystal cut lamps ,smart TV , tea maker, fridge. * The toilets are spacious, with a partitioned shower area. * Each cottage has a private sit out facing the mountains. * There is no loud music or cacophonic merry making. The place is for those who want to immerse in the tranquillity of nature. * The food is delicious and specially the Indian cuisine. * The staff has been around forever and it feels like home. * Ashviniji at the restaurant seems to be like Jeeves who can do everything. * The property has grown very green over the years, the roses, cosmos, lilies make it pristine. * Last but not the least is the owner Yaduraj Singh who believes that trifles make perfection but perfection is not a trifle! You can never leave this property..you carry it in your heart till you come back again!

We had a wonderful experience staying in Udechee Huts from 10th to 15 Apr 24. The location of the hotel is breath taking with snow peaked mountains to see any time of the day. Sitting outside, sipping tea or coffee with music playing, looking at these majestic peaks was something which will stay with us for a long time. The affection and kindness shown by Hotel Staff for us senior citizens were unparalleled. Ashwini assigned to look after our room was like a Santa claus who will grant any wish you have or like a superman who will solve any problem that you face. The interior design of room, while being very functional and modern in terms of facilities and comfort, gave you a feeling of living a rustic and Royal bygone era. I cannot remember anything which would make me give less than 10 out of 10 score to Udechee Huts.

As I review this place, I am still staying at Udechee Huts. This is by far the best hotel I have stayed in the Himalayan region and I have travelled quite a lot in Himachal & Uttarakhand. We were earlier booked in the hotel from 12th April to 16th April but due to lockdown imposed in Mumbai we (me and my wife) have now been indefinetely staying at this place (for almost a month now) and this feels now like home. Some of the significant factors that are unique to Udechee Huts and have made our stay both pleasant and memorable are as below 1) Amazing views of the Dauladhar range. From almost all the rooms, the view is absolutely spectacular. You cannot expect a better view from your rooms. 2) Beautiful garden inside the hotel with flowers everywhere, it almost seems like a paradise and i see the gardener maintaining the gardens almost everyday very meticulously. Since this is blossom season i think, you can see flowers everywhere that attracts bees and birds 3) Well maintained rooms and common areas like restaurant, library etc. The rooms have everything you would need for a comfortable stay like proper heating with A/C (this is so important when it gets chilly), carpeted rooms, good quality and working water heaters with 25L capacity for a nice hot bath, tea-coffee maker in the room, room service, affordable laundry services and a nice breakfast. The library is great for working (as now i use it as my temporary office) and it has a great view also 4) The staff of Udechee has been well trained and they are prompt and well mannered and know their job. They were very particular about covid protocols and ensured rooms and common areas were sanitised, all staff wear masks and gloves always, are neatly dressed and well mannered and polite. We even requested for some food items not in the menu and the cook came to us and himself ensured that we got what we wanted. I thank the staff Sushil, Bipin, Rinku and Manjit for their courteous behaviour and service 5) Location is great for nice evening walks around the place that we enjoy everyday To summarise, Udechee Huts has all the ingredients one expects for a nice holiday home in the lap of the himalayas. Lastly i would like to acknowledge Mr Yaduraj Singh - the owner of the place who keeps checking on us for our needs and takes care of what we want. During lockdown, he even arranged for some documents to be couriered to my office in Mumbai. Lastly, this place is not cheap so if someone expects it to be matching prices of nearby hotels its not possible as during my stay on my walks a few people offered me rooms for lower prices but we wanted a quality place rather than cheap ones. Moreover, Mr Yaduraj Singh also gave us a great discount for our longer stay due to lockdown so it worked out just fine. While i still dont know how long i will stay more at Udechee Huts, this has now become a home for us away from home. I am sure that I will try my best to be back here soon :)

Udechee Huts is a great property. It offers scenic views and excellent services.
It is very well accessible from the road. The cars drive right to the entrance of the hotel. The property is large and open and you can catch great views from each window and each balcony. It is nicely maintained with great gardens and plants potted around. They clean it rigorously and the property looks spick and span. The rooms are large, spacious with lots of storage space. They have provided comfortable heated beds and room heaters and geysers. The windows close tightly and the rooms become comfortably warm even when it is 2-4 degrees outside. The wifi works perfectly and the mobile network coverage is available in all corners. The washrooms are spotless, spacious, comfortable and very hygienic.
The service provided is excellent and sometimes it feels they know what an individual guest might prefer. We were provided excellent room service by Mr. Ajay Thakur & Mr. Rinku Jaryal. They explained to us all the facilities available. They are calm, professional, well versed with the tourist routes, courteous, helpful, resourceful and very well connected in the local villages. They gave us excellent tips about places to see, local transport contacts, local knowledge and tips to shop. Ajay takes really great pictures and took a really nice one of me and my wife.
The food prepared is excellent and well priced. We had chicken curry, kadhai chicken, daal makhani, garlic naan and aloo jeera. Each dish was outstanding and full of flavors. They took extra care to serve the food warm and fresh. The breakfast was also outstanding. Palampur chai is the main attraction of the breakfast.
Overall, this is an A-grade property situated in Naddi providing every possible luxury in this geography. This is situated at a height of 2000 mtrs ASL (6500 feet) and they have done an excellent job to provide 5-star facilities here. The views of Dhauladhar from the property are unparalleled. You can see the sheer granitic cliffs all day around and be mesmerized. We felt very great about this property and will be recommending this to our friends and family who visit Dharamshala region in future.

My wife and I planned a vacation and decided to visit Dharamshala & Dalhousie. In Dharamshala, we stayed 3 nights at Udechee Huts in Mcleodganj from 23rd to 26th July 2024. Our stay at Udechee Huts was absolutely wonderful! The location of the huts could not be beat - nestled in the peaceful Himalayas with stunning mountain views all around. The huts themselves were charming, cozy, and impeccably clean. I loved the rustic, eco-friendly design that blended seamlessly with the natural surroundings. The staff specially Vipin, Front Office Manager and Sagar, restaurant attendant at Udechee Huts were so friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable and memorable stay. The homemade meals served in the dining area were absolutely fresh and delicious. During our time at Udechee Huts, we were able to truly relax and unwind. The serene setting was perfect for just the incredible mountain views. We left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already dreaming of when we can return. We would highly recommend Udechee Huts to anyone looking for an authentic, eco-conscious, and peaceful Himalayan retreat. It was the perfect home base for exploring Mcleodganj and the surrounding region.

We stayed for 3 days in Udechhe Hut, Naddi. It is a superbly positioned boutique hotel with panoramic view of Dhauladhar range. There are 12 rooms at different levels which not only gives you total privacy but also each has a balcony with uninterrupted view of the range, as if you can touch the mountain. Each room is fully appointed with running hot and cold water, tea and coffee making facility, large windows and a balcony. However, it's the ever smiling courtacious staff which sets this place apart from others. Here I have to mention Vijay Kumar, who went out of his way to look after us. The restaurant has a breathtaking view with high quality foods of different cuisine. Wish to go back to Udechee Hut again in future.

Udechee huts sets a new benchmark with their top notch hospitality. This quaint little place nestled in Naddi village in Himachal is best to escape the bustling craziness of the city. In Udechee you can relax amidst glorious mountain landscapes and enjoy the warm and genuine hospitality of the staff. This is better than any of the 5 or 7 star hotels where the customer service seems plastic and the hotel staff seems intimidating. That's not all.. the food here is homely and delicious. This is a 33 year old property and you feel the history in their simple decor which is still well maintained. The hygiene at Udechee is on point. The entire resort sprawling over the mountain is well maintained with beautiful landscaping and gorgeous plants. The rooms are clean as are the bathrooms with quality utilities. The staff is well dressed in uniforms which are simple and similar to the local attire. The terrace at Udechee was our favorite place to relax and watch the sunrise in the morning and the stars at night. There are a few relaxing nature trails near Udechee where you can go for walks. There is a river down in the valley and it's soothing sound is just the cherry on the cake one needs. Dear Guest,
The hotel is 5 KM away from Mcleodgunj and very easy to reach by car. We serve veg and non veg food in our restaurant. Yes light warm clothes are recommended in April.
