McLeod Ganj was unfortunately very cold and wet, so influenced our perspective of the area. This hotel is probable the best available in the town. Staff were delightful and helpful. When freezing in our room from failed heating they promptly arranged extra heating and hot water bottles. The dinner was of a reasonable standard though breakfast was very poor by...

Chonor House is a simple, no frills, pleasantly quirky hotel - very different to a modern chain of business hotels (Ibis, Premier Inn etc.) and as such, provides guests with a more unique and personal experience. Each room has a name rather than a number (ours was called Wild Animals - in keeping with the room decoration) and on entering...

A lovely place to stay. Room nice but a bit basic and quite cool in the evening. Hot water bottles provided! Great staff, friendly and helpful. Good restaurant, we ate there several times and the food was consistently good and relatively cheap. Recommended.

I really appreciated the friendly staff and its service, good food, and the large room nicely equipped with silk carpets on the floor and walls. Clean rooms. Was a good experience very close to the Dalai Lama temple - good view on it from the hotel terrace where I had my breakfasts.

We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed our meals (breakfast and dinner) at the Hummingbird Restaurant downstairs which offers Chinese and Tibetan dishes. Each staff member conveyed Tibetan warmth and hospitality in their interactions with us. The staff were fluent in English and were willing share snippets of information about Tibetan life. We would definitely recommend a trip to...

We need to climb to reach the hotel and also it does not have Lift to go up to your Room. On the third floor. This is negative...

The rooms are spacious, we had a balcony looking to the Himalayas with great view and terrific sunset. Right opposite to the Dalai Lama complex, 10 minutes walk from the center square. Shower needs rework and improvement. Nice breakfast- no buffet, just 3 options from the menu. Nice and kind staff

I think Chonor has to be one of the poorest hotels we have stayed in: Ever. The dissatisfaction goes way beyond the fact that the room’s balcony (Kham Room) overlooks a building site and when complete, will look right onto a wall of an adjoining hotel. Our experience started on arrival. We were met by our guide from the airport....

This place is just next to HH Dalai Lama Temple in Mcleodganj. Only thing is that this property is having a steep climb so thats a point to consider while travelling with kids or senior citizens; though car goes upto the main gate of hotel. Rooms are spacious, airy and with windows; washrooms in the new rooms are modern but...
