I stayed in the hotel for two months. It is in a great location - 10 mins walk to the Dalai Lana’s Temple and close to cafes and shops. The view is great from the rooms. The staff were wonderful, especially Sunil. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The Hotel Grand Hill is basic but we found it more than satisfactory. Staff are very obliging. Rooms contain an en-suite, TV, some have a bar fridge, a large bed (quite firm), a comfortable couch and coffee table. In a hill town of many, many steps the lift is a bonus and the hotel’s location in the market is perfect. A short walk to the Dalai Llama’s Temple and taxis if you want to venture further. We had two rooms facing west with great balconies giving us spectacular views across the valley to the Himalayas. There is a rooftop terrace and restaurant which we used every day. The food is good and cheap. Recommended - great value for money.

They are cheater and very unprofessional, we checked rate online getting good deal but when we call them to confirm the same they asked to wait for 10 minutes and after that they increased the room rate. Please avoid to stay at this hotel, they are not at all trustworthy, if they can increase the rates immediately just to get more money then think what kidf of service they will offer to their guest, Mr. ,Mohinder and Ravinder and very unprofessional people and this hotel should be closed so that they should stop cheating people. Very very bad experience with them. Please please avoid to stay at this hotel.

We booked this hotel after seeing the website we thought it was in the countryside. Well it isn't it is in the market place of McLeodganj just a few minutes walk to the Dalai Lama's Monastery, shops, restaurants etc; The rooms were clean and we got some exercise walking down to the room, there is a small slow lift so quicker to walk. There is building going on on both sides and you have to keep the balcony door closed because of possible monkey visits! The rooftop restaurant doesn't open for breakfast until 9am but there are plenty of wonderful places to eat nearby, our friends had lunch here and they said it was very good. The staff and owner are helpful and very honest. Our friends left some money in a room and it was found in another room but it was returned by the owner when they realised, telephoned and went back for it, which was very kind indeed. If you want to be in a reasonable clean hotel close to it all Hotel Grand Hill does the trick!

the people are friendly, best location, vantage points, and good views facility and service is simply awesome. It is best to contact them prior visiting as this hotel is the most demanding one. The food and the Roof top dining facility is simply awesome. I asked them to arrange a roof top candle dining and the people very very helpful to do so.
