It is a zero star hotel in my experience. Totally unprofessional, cheat and I booked two superior rooms for family visit on 10 may 2022. Deposited 13500 rupees vial net booking as per their demand. As soon as I reached to hotel their behavior was awkward they insisted me to deposit remaining money of approximately 30000. No warm welcome. When I saw their rooms it was smelly, dirty with dust all over. There was no ventilation in rooms. I requested to adjust my money for 1 day stay they refused and said to deposit total money for 5 days. They are totally unprofessional also.very very bad experiences with this hotel.

It was an amazing trip n stay. Especially the Happy Hub & the evening entertainment program was full of fun with the Himachali Dance performance by Pratiksha & Surjeet hosted by Shashi Kapoor.
As usual, food was delicious. Rooms were very well prepared n maintained.
Really delightful and enriching experience. Children enjoyed with a lot.
Would not forget to write the names of Dilbaug, Subhash, Mandeep, Mukesh, Akhil n all others whose names could not be remembered.
Thank you CM Dharmshala for this wonderful experience.

The Vaikunth Hotel is close by the Dalai Lama Temple. The hotel has an impressive exterior and lobby area. The lobby area of the hotel is big compared to the rest of the hotel. The maps to the hotel are confusing and the reception staff helped us reach the hotel by guiding our driver over the phone. Check in was quite fast.
The rooms were small but were good. The rooms had good interiors and an amazing view of the valley. We stayed here just for one night and had no issues. The buffet breakfast served was below average.
Overall a good experience on our night stay here!

Although the location is great and view from the hill-facing rooms is quite beautiful, the owners engage in shady practices and we felt a bit uncomfortable and unsafe living here.
We had booked the room quite much in advance through Booking.com. Coming from Spain, my partner and I wanted to ensure we have all the bookings intact to avoid any hassles through our quite busy itinerary.
The receptionist asked me for my confirmation code and pin, which I later got to know that it was not a standard practice. And using this information, cancelled my booking although I paid for the booking at the property.
When questioned about this incident, we were told that it was an error and offered us free breakfast throughout our stay. We understood that it was a coverup to something that they were doing and we took the deal to get them to pay for the taxi for sightseeing as the food quality was bad.
We didn't want to create any issues while we stayed to avoid any confrontation and hassles during our visit to a beautiful place.
Our theory is that they didn't want us to review them on Booking.com for the overpriced, unclean rooms they have at the property. And also to not let their fake ratings on Booking.com get changed because of that.
Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

- staff was rude and disrespectful. They were calling me from 8.30 am 3 times to remind that check out is at 11 am. They broke my personal space and forced to worry from the morning. When I went to reception they continued to talk in the same tone (man and woman). No sorry, no good buy in the end, the woman on the reception was checking her phone.
- no iron in the hotel. Are you sure you are 4 stars hotel? I was planning to go to the serious meeting and I needed iron for my clothes and I was so surprised that they don’t have even simple iron in all hotel!

Disappointed with the maintenance of the rooms. Wash basin was broken and it seems has been like this for many months without a replacement. When complained the answer was it's not leaking, so fine. Was shocked at the answer. In our second room the TV had gone for repairs. Was fixed next day. Taps/shower was not working and plumber was called. Housekeeping is worst. Had a dirty towel lying in the cupboard when we checked in. Old milk lying in the kettle. Don't know how housekeeping is working. Staff are not helpful at all. Management does not wish to spend money on maintenance. Only earn money.

This hotel has Professional and helpful staff.
It’s a nicely built hotel with a lift and parking.
Their in-house restaurant food is also good.
Comparing to my last visits to this hotel, it needs some maintenance.

This was my family trip to Macleodganj and I thank myself to have booked Hotel Vaikunth, which is located in an uncrowded place on the Jogiwara Road. This is a one way road leading to the main crossing, which is 10 minutes walking distance away.The hotel is very nicely maintained , clean, with 24 hours running hot and cold water, sufficient parking in the basement( a luxury in Macleodganj).The rooms are tidy, with clean toilets but without windows and are cleaned daily. A working lift facilitates easy approach to all floors. The room rent is without breakfast , but they have a good, clean restaurant on the ground floor which serves good food. The staff is all cooperative and polite. Check in and check out was without any hassles. I stayed there from 12th to 15th August with my wife , both above 55 years of age and departed on a happy note. I checked out early morning at 6 am and they were kind enough to bring my car out of the basement and keep it ready. I shall definitely recommend this hotel to family people visiting Macleodganj.

Hi, unfortunately you wont get any suite or 2 bedroom suite in McLeodganj.The best you can ask is 2 adjacent rooms. I am not sure if they have any connected rooms but you can ask hotel directly.

Dear Mr. Deepak, We do not provide drive accommodation. You have to hire a room for him in nearby guest house which may cost you 800-1200 INR. None of the hotel in this area provide driver accommodation.
