1.) When we checked-in on Sunday, 17 Apr, I was allocated Room no. 205. I discovered that there were Bed-Bugs in the bed. Killed two (2) Bed-Bugs myself before going to sleep in the night. Again woke up late in the night at around 2 am since I was in major discomfort as Bed-Bugs were biting me & sucking my blood. Went down to the reception since no one responded to the phone calls. Two of the hotel staffs came to my room, saw the blood stains on the bedsheet and my arms which was swollen due to the bite of the Bed-Bugs. They changed the bedsheets, blanket cover & the pillow covers but did not offer to change the room. In the process my sleep got spoilt. 2.) Next day in the morning, on 18 Apr, I expressed my concern to the Duty Manager. I realised that his staffs have already updated him about the last night incident. But to my surprise and unfortunately, instead of being apologetic and unconditionally accepting that the incident has happened, he was trying to play down and suppress the matter and defend by saying that such a thing cannot happen, as if I was either exaggerating the matter or giving a false statement. 3.) The same night, on 18 Apr, the incident was repeated. Again suddenly, late in the night, at around 1 pm I got awoke due to the discomfort resulting from the bites & sucking of my blood by the Bed-Bugs. On checking my bed, I could see two Bed-Bugs moving on my bedsheet. I called the room service and the same two hotel staffs came to my room who had come on the previous night. They saw the Bed-Bugs themselves. I made them kill the Bed-Bugs. This time I expressed my dis-sat strongly & demanded that my room to be changed which they had to oblige since they had no option because of the repeated incident on two consecutive nights. In the process again my sleep got spoilt, for two (2) consecutive nights. 4.) Next day in the morning, on 20 Apr, I strongly conveyed my dis-sat with the Duty Manager. Once again I had the same unfavorable response & experience with him which I had on the previous day. I asked for the contact of the person in-charge of the hotel since I want to speak direct to him but he declined to give it. He said that his GM will call me at 10:30 am.…

As discussed with you in the hotel I investigated this matter and taken up our discussion seriously with my entire team. In regards to the lapse in service and the adequate training needs will be reiterated to the team. However this is the first complaint we received regarding the bedbugs in last three years. As precaution we did fumigation of the same room with heavy chemicals. Also we checked rest of the rooms but nothing found in them. Also as yet, not even any complaint from other guest regarding the same. We have taken up the matters you mentioned and trust that you will see a marked improvement on your next Visit.
