The place has amazing views on the la Punta, but don't go just to drink a few beers, as they'll insist on you paying USD 5 for parking, even on a short visit. Nothing adviced beforehand, only when you're about to pay your bill you'll have a nice surprise that the price of your beers just doubled or tripled. Great... More

Amazing place! Good food, excellent attention, low prices, beautiful view. If you are looking for a place to relax is the right place it is also perfect for surfers because you have the beach really close.

I discovered Santa Catalina and Surfer's Paradise this July and as someone who travels often and spends a lot of time in hostels, this was a refreshing experience. ...in fact I would struggle to use the word HOTEL for this place. I found the experience to be more like staying at your coolest friend's house/property who just happens to have... More

Our time at Surfer's Paradise was outstanding. Ithalo, the Brazilian owner, wasn't able to accommodate us when we strolled up out of the blue, however promptly loaded us into his 4x4 and drove us across town to another hotel with whom he arranged us something alternate. He couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, and without any urging or personal... More

We were planning a trip to Santa Catalina when our lodging fell through. We searched for last minute alternatives, and were recommended to Surfer's Paradise. Unfortunately, they don't have a website/we couldn't book online, so we had to call. We were warmly greeted and told there was availability, so we booked. For July and a room without AC, the quoted... More

This review is for the surfboard rental; we did not stay here. Italo and Sandra were lovely to deal with, they had a decent selection of real (fiberglass and epoxy, not foam) boards, the advice on where/when to go was spot on, the staff were nice, and the view with a beer at the end of the day was great.... We stayed three night in Surfers Paradise. Room was big and clean. There was nothing more in the room than beds, one table and a fan so pretty basic. Shower was a bit crappy but did it's job. The beauty of this place is the hangout terrace and the sunset view. The view to the sea was absolutely stunning and... More

The best place I have ever stayed at. The hostel it's located just I front of the reef break la punta, the house is on a small hill which make the view crazy beautiful, the dorms have a balcony and there is no door or Windows so your room is fully open and you fall asleep of the sound of... More

We spent 3 nights in this hostel. The view from the terrace is amazing. During the day you can watch the sufers and the best sunset in santa catalina. The rooms are basic which isnt a problem at all. You can reach playa estero within a five minute walk. Sandra and Iguanito and their son are lovely hosts. They helped... More
