Minimalistic (which is ok) but felt motel-ish in a way with huge great room with kitchen shared by others. We had thought the views would be great, even if distant, but way too far away. The design is just a bit strange - not sure why they didn't build the house closer to the edge to maximize views. The owners...

We spent a couple of nights at the Split Apple Lodge and are still thrilled by everything. The lodge is beautifully situated. From the large guest terrace one has wonderful views to the mountains and the sea. The sunrise over the sea is spectacular! The terrace is equipped with extremely comfortable lounge furnitures where you can stay long time. The...

What a beautiful place to spend 2 nights of your holiday, absolutely amazing views. The lodge itself is wonderful. Clean, tidy, spacious & very comfortable. The owners are very helpful & accommodating. They will even make you up a pack lunch if you are out for the day on a hike, sort out restaurant bookings, taxis etc. It seems nothing...

I am very reluctant to review hidden gems of super high quality for fear they will be full when I next return. But here goes. Split Apple Lodge is one of those WOW places in the world. When you reach the Lodge you will not believe the views. Stunning. The owners, Fran and Daniel are so nice, very welcoming and...

This is a small lodge that feels more like a B&B. Its a bit secluded - halfway between Kaiteriteri and Marahau on a hill that has some ocean views. The lodge appears to be pretty new - the owners were adding artwork and amenities during our visit. While we enjoyed the quiet of the lodge, we were a bit disappointed...

The view is amazing, the host is very helpful and knowledgeable. We drove through intense rain to get here from the ferry in Picton. Very good location for Abel Tasman Park. The lodge is beautiful and comfortable.

We were lucky to stay 3 nights at the Split Apple Lodge and enjoyed it very much. Pauline and Bert (our great hosts at the time of our stay) were great and they can offer you a lot of great things to see and do. The lodge itself is pretty modern. They offer a fully-equipped kitchen so can prepare your...

The views are as good as the reviews say. You really are on top of the world. A really refreshing take on a BnB. Modern and minimal; Some may describe as decor as 'Pinterest '. The trouble was we felt like we were making a mess by just being there! The communal living space is huge, amazing sofas, and a...
