Prainha, a beachfront resort, tucked away in a cove with neatly manicured pathways that lead towards the beach and the heart of this unpretentious, pleasantly surprising resort by the sea. We stayed in this resort for 2 nights in Mid April. We were earlier planning to stay in North Goa (Calangute area) but due to the surge in the Covid cases we thought it would be better we stay in a property which is not too crowded & in a location which is not frequented a lot by the tourists/guests....and what a wise decision it turned out for us... We were shown all kinds of rooms for us to choose as the resort occupancy was not high due to Covid cases, we took Sea Facing Deluxe rooms which had a mesmerizing view of pool, sea & greenery from a huge pvt balcony. The Front Office & F&B staff at the Restaurant were always very helpful & ready to serve you. Kids loved this property especially the beach area which gave you the exclusive feeling of being a private one...they also loved spending most of the afternoon in the small but beautiful pool which was well maintained & lifeguard around. You will simply love the lawns & greenery of the property which is so soothing to the eyes. The only drawback I can think of is the menace created by crows during the b/f & lunch hours...it becomes relatively difficult to have your meal in peace as there's army of crows waiting to dig/attack your food if your attention diverts from your plate. The location can be bit tricky for this property but one can enjoy spending all the time being in the pool or by the beach...Food was good too (if not great, but the Kitchen did tried their best to satisfy our north indian taste) We would surely recommend this resort & we will surely include this property in our itinerary whenever we are in Goa in future !!

We try and visit Prainha every year. If you're looking for sea view you cannot get a better deal than this. And the little bay and beach is extremely private with not much foot fall. The beds are the most comfy and the grounds are meticulously kept tidy. The chef is lovely, what nice preparations. We did not need to step out for a single meal. The waiting staff was extremely accomodating,we were travelling with a two year old and I never give her bottles to anyone for washing but we did in an emergency give the bottles for cleaning and wow! they came back sparkling. So many many brownie points for that. whenever I asked for a banana shake it was made propmtly and without sugar, just as I requested for.We were never left waiting for anything for long and this time with an active kid that was very welcome. so a massive Thank you. They light candles on everytable and the restaurant has pool and sea side tables(the best of both the worlds),so if its quiet and romantic that you're after then also you are looking at the best space.though one recommendation would be to avoid weekends in that case. Every room comes with the most amazing Balconies ,and we have a favourite room which is our little slice of privacy, but Im sure all the balconies are equally great. We swam in the pool everday and it comes with lots of kiddie goodies, just ask for them, like balls and floats etc. If you need anything I'm sure any of their staff will go out of their way to help.Sagar and Especially Manjula, without whom our experience will not be the same. She gives us a sense of homecoming whenever we are there. with welcoming smiles and an absolutely accommodating attitude she is just the right girl in the lead. I do look forward to my esspresso next time though ;)

1) Beautiful Portuguese styled property build in 50's tucked in the alley on Dona Paula . 2) Spread out the property has an advantage of a private beach which makes the stay more fun ! (not allowed to visit for safety concerns ) 3) The food at the restaurant is delicious . The butter garlic fish is exceptional. 4) The renovated rooms without balcony are spacious , neat and maintained. A little more consideration is though needed . The villas take away major concentration. 5) Special mention for Mr Nagesh Rawal for accommodating in every possible way. Mr Basu is helpful and Mr Xavier is sincere.

The location is awesome. Solitude, private beach, breathtaking sunset, quaint rooms .. it's all there. But the service and breakfast spread is quite ordinary. The staff is courteous but inefficient. It's a wedding destination too and there was one on for the days we were there. The staff was overwhelmed and even for basic services we had to ask and call number of times. These minor irritants make it less appealing and reduce the value for money factor as well. On the other hand if they work it out... it has the potential of being an exotic and royal experience for the price they charge. Based on my family's experience I give them an average rating where the location surpassed and services failed our expectations.
