Detailed Reviews
Stayed here in Feb/March 2020.
The hotel is in a quiet location in Dona Paula but hotel next door does cater for weddings/parties so there is occasional noise from there but having said that they all end at 10.30pm. We only had 4 weddings during our 5 week stay so it is not a big problem.
We stayed in a suite at the front of the hotel which was large and had everything in it that you could wish for. We viewed the other rooms when we were there and have booked the Harbour View room for our next visit which are all stunning.
They also have adjoining rooms for families in the Bay View rooms which are also done to a very high standard.
The hotel was great and the restaurant which is open to non residents had a good choice of dishes and is very reasonably priced. Breakfast had plenty of choice and the egg chef was on hand for any cooked options.
The main selling point of the hotel are the brilliant staff. They bent over backwards to ensure that your every need was met and were always on hand with a pleasant smile and welcome. Special mention goes to Ranveer (restaurant), Narayan (restaurant), Nakul (reception), Valencia (reception) and Akash (reception) who were all absolutely brilliant. Missing you guys already.
My wife had her birthday whilst we were here and the staff trimmed up the room in spectacular fashion. They also provided a bouquet of flowers and a cake. This was most unexpected but greatly appreciated.
I can recommend this hotel and their brilliant staff to anyone looking for a holiday in this area of Goa who expect high quality of customer service - you will not be disappointed here.

Stayed 2 nights and day in this magnificently beautiful resort with highly passionate and energetic and efficient staff in all level . Courtesy of hotel staff and their approach to support the need of guest is almost 99% level great . Rooms are fantastic . Very spacious , top class bed and bathroom linen , great AC . The most important to say is the view from the room is panoramic. As if we are on sea , practically waves keep hitting the walls of the boundary 2 feet away . Beautiful balcony on sea viewing is icing on the cake . The whole hotel ambience , gardens , beach , swimming pool are very aesthetically designed . Breakfast is world class and the service too . Also I had one dinner with continental variety and there is enough good choice of food to order from continental, Chinese , Goan , local . This hotel also allows to order from Swiggy , Zomato etc on line platforms. You have to collect yourself from reception area and cutlery you can take from hotel with nominal charges . It’s just on Dona Paula one the best scenic location in entire Goa . I am extremely happy to stay here with my wife for two days .

The resort is absolutely rustic and stunning. I planned a trip as a surprise for my wife's birthday. I had to coordinate with a couple of things with the hotel staff. like getting a cake for my wife at 12 in the night, asking for a large cot, The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful they didn't say no and made sure they arranged a cake so much so they got the cake at midnight to the room and sang the birthday song and even had a couple of cake pieces with us. The next day we woke up to the best view of our life (check the images from our room) the view of the pool and the just after the pool the view of a private beach. Trust me we can sit in the balcony for hours and you will not be bored
the wind was somehow always cool and the way the rooms are placed the sun never falls on them that the best part no heat just an awesome view in the wind. we went down for breakfast the staff was welcoming and the other guests make you feel so welcomed, they don't know who you are but still smile and wish you "Good morning" with a beautiful smile. not many options which are good it just about the right quantity. Its never crowded so you don't have to wait for your turn. after breakfast a pleasant walk in the private beach no crowd just you and the world. Then after the walk, you can relax by the pool or take a swing in the pool which is has been warming up in the morning sun. after all that we wanted to go out so we called the staff to see if they can arrange for a self-driven car. and in 10 min they call and inform that the person has come with the car. "WOW". Took the car for a spin and we realize The place is located so close to so many things shopping, restaurants, casinos, inox, the ritz classic(amazing seafood thali place). there is no proper network coverage in the resort but that is good for people who are always on their phone in the city, you can stay away from your phone and enjoy nature at its best. Just when we were about to check out we realized there was just one CON- You feel really really sad that you'll have to leave such a beautiful place and the staff. We loved every bit of the stay. I highly recommend this place, and for sure we are going back again. ps. Room 23 is where we stayed :-)

Goa trip for 5 nights and last two nights booked with o pescador, expecting it to be the best in terms of location and stay..
But i have best word to describe it 'disaster'..
Location :extremely good, the only positive thing i could find!
Rooms:almost 25 years old with zero maintenance. Only u can find a bed to lie down and that too if u r tired otherwise better to stay out!
washroom: with no exhaust fan, gyser with zero pressure, lizards roaming everywhere, bath towel and swimming towel both same or as per availability..
Breakfast: very limited option, paratha to be taken with Spatula! Or u may find bread butter to be the best option
Restaurant :food is good but as explained, a big star'closes at 10',no service after that.. Expect a situation when u r in goa and a hotel having sea view closes its bar and restaurant at 10!!no service available after that time.
Seems management is not interested in improving or maintaining the property.. Based on the reviews, we booked the rooms for 100$ approx per night and to our surprise, we found it 25$worth.

"I've seen the movie 'Paranormal Activity' and was convinced for weeks that it was real."- Lauren Stamile Dear Guest, At the very onset I would like to thank you for sharing this review of your stay with us. Let me mention that we have never received a review similar to this one in the many years of this esteemed property. Neither we, nor any of the numerous guests that have stayed in this room have ever felt a paranormal presence in not just this, but any place in the resort. Thank you for appreciating the view and hospitality. Without making any excuses, I would like to express how profoundly regretful I am, that you did not like the breakfast buffet and the room. As you saw from other reviews on this forum and from personal recommendations you received, this is not at all typical of our guests' experience. We have received extremely positive feedback from our guests who have enjoyed the resort and the food. I would urge you to consider your own stay as an aberration and consider giving us another try. We work very hard to ensure that our guests go back with great memories and are keen to change your impression of us. Thank you once again and look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you back for a richer holiday experience in the near future. Warm Regards, Miguel Juan Rebello Indy Hotels & Resorts

This is a nice resort but lacks attention to a few basic things -1. The air conditioners in the harbor facing and beach facing rooms suddenly stop cooling or even switches off suddenly 2. Swimming pool needs the steps to get in with the railing 3, lots of steps in the resort that need side railings 4. Mosquito nets for doors and windows. 4. Breakfast taste can be improved for the price charged 5. Sheets and towels are clean but stained 6. Gate that leads to the beach is rusted and the beach does not have a life guard or security 5. Mosquitoes are in plenty as they don’t spray the appropriate stuff . 6. The shower pressure is not much although water was hot .
We were travelling with senior citizens and do not recommend this place for seniors. The front desk Salim and his team including security were friendly and responsive.
The location is great and the views are terrific in the pool suites and beach facing rooms. Jetty is close and Miramar is also close so not far from the city
What made it comfortable was the service from the staff and help. I would not recommend this place for travelers who want a quiet stay as the next door hotel hosts weddings that are very loud and play music until 10 pm. I would love to come back if they upgrade the resort with these basics. Overall it was a good stay but could have been excellent if they pay attention to some of these finer infrastructure elements.

There is something to be said about smaller independent hotels, and O'Pescador is just one of those. Just 22 rooms and tucked away off the beaten track as you walk in you walk into an Oasis of Calm. The weather when we were there was a constant 31- 33c and there is a gentle breeze off the sea which meant you never really overheated. Sit by the pool and the waiters will soon get you a drink, or food from their comprehensive menu. it really is great little place and as it is intimate you soon get talking to the other guests and all becomes very friendly. it could be noisy as night if next door were having a wedding party as they did a couple of times but it all calms down by 2200. We loved it. the waiters Shubham and Polly are just the most attentive a generally lovely people.

One of the best stays we have had in Goa . Location on beach with harbor view rooms is beautiful .You can just chill watching the sea or even take a bath in it.
Private beach access is great.
The reception staff especially Valencia & Sameer were very courteous and helpful , forever smiling and ready to assist wherever possible . Even their restaurant staff were good not to forget their security staff always alert on duty
Overall a very feel at home environment ..looking forward to come again .

We have just spent a wonderful two weeks at O Pescador. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and didn’t want to come home. We went with Tui and stayed in a Bayview room. The view was amazing. The pool area was mostly very quiet, there were a couple of weddings in the hotel next door but the noise didn’t bother us too much. Apparently, they are every day in February so something to bear in mind if you want to avoid.
The hotel was in a good spot, the quiet tranquil pool area and almost private Dias beach was perfect, and when you leave the hotel, you are straight in to the hustle and bustle of Dona Paula with the main beach, jetty and restaurants all in a short walking distance. It is also about a ten-minute taxi ride to Panjim, and there is a bus service nearby.
There are several good restaurants nearby, but I can honestly say that the best food I had was from the hotel itself. It is very pricy by Indian standards but still a fraction of what we would pay in the UK.
So, why only four stars? Well, there were a few niggles that I think could have been sorted easily. My main annoyance was the lack of parasols around the pool – only two. Even more annoying was that when someone new came to the hotel and asked for a parasol the staff would just take one that somebody was already using. Fair enough if you’ve left, but when you are still around the pool area and have to go and stop your parasol being dragged away it’s not good. Just buy some more!
There was no storage in the room, we had a small wardrobe with two coat hangers. As a result, the holiday was spent with piles of clothes everywhere. The wardrobe door wouldn’t close, neither would the window. The kettle lid was also broken. None of this ruined the holiday, but again stuff that should be easy to fix.
Service was a bit hit and miss, all very nice staff though. If you’re first in at breakfast you will end up having to wait; they don’t seem to be prepared beforehand, and you may find yourself waiting whilst they clean the coffee machine etc.
Niggles aside, I enjoyed my holiday and can see us returning in the near future.

Where to start !! This resort in Dona Paula gave us the most amazing Christmas and New Year ever !! Hotel Manager Nathan is a charming young man who along with his team cannot do enough for you. The food is incredible with Chef Savio at the helm of a fantastic kitchen team. Their Christmas menu which included Turkey and Christmas pudding was outstanding, with special Christmas cocktails. Lunches and dinners are varied with an excellent menu. The fabulous Restaurant Manager Ranveer is in charge of a team of waiters who are incredibly friendly and very efficient. I can’t not mention Polycarp, Kumar and RITU who always have a big smile on their faces and make your stay at O Pescador a very happy one. Valencia and the team on reception were lovely and always happy to help, booking spas for massages and pedicures, where a car will pick you up and drop you back at the hotel.
You will not be disappointed staying at O Pescador, but don’t take my word for it, book a holiday and see for yourself !

O Pescador is an extremely aesthetic space for anyone looking for affordable accommodation. We had a 3 night's stay here and definitely had the best time. The ambience, the staff and the entire vibe of the place is heartwarming and sweet. I had to coordinate some last moment gifting surprises for my parent's anniversary, and they helped me with the best and smooth execution of it. The pool and the beach is just a cherry on the cake. Definitely would recommend to people looking for accommodation in Dona Paula.

Hi Jeanette,
The below email address is the best to use.
Ask for either Nakul, Valencia or Akash as any of them will be happy to help.
Due to COVID though I am not sure if any of them are there presently.

If there is anything else you need to ask please feel free to do so.

Hi Jeannette first let me say you have chosen a fantastic hotel. The beach however is down some very awkward ( IMO) steps, and (a) would be virtually impossible to carry any sunbeds down and (b) you wouldn't be allowed. The beach is shared with the hotel next door. People go swimming in the sea and go for a walk along the beach (which is quite short) and access the boat that takes you to an island for a bbq ( WELL WORTH A DAY OUT) but in over 2 weeks staying there I never saw anyone sunbathing on that beach, and never any sunbeds down there. Hope this helps.
Yes they do have fridge in the room.
Yes the resort provides Airport shuttle and local transportation at a very reasonable charge. Recommended to use their services by notifying in advance.
