Stayed here for a couple of nights in the summer, it's a low grade hotel, uncomfortable and unreasonable. They knocked on the door at 09.45 and told us we had to be out by 10, their checkout time. No fore warning just go. Charming. Look at some far nicer places in a nice town. Cafe next door isn't bad though.

We came to the Auberge de Moerse Hoeve on new year's eve since we were celebrating it in Efteling. It is VERY close to the park, just 7 mn ride. Located in a quiet area. The room is pretty basic but the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was modern and clean. We appreciate the fact that there were no extra charge for our dogs. The breakfast is good. It's too bad they don't serve english breakfast but the waiter can make you eggs the way you want. The TV didn't get many chanels. The rooms have an inside and outside acces (through the parking lot) like a motel. We didn't hear any noise.

We decided to eat here again for a special occasion. When we arrived, it was clear that a large party was there for a celebration dinner, with several tables pushed together occupying the centre of the whole restaurant . If we had been told at the time of booking , we would have gone elsewhere. When shown to our table, ( the last one free in the restaurant) that is exactly what it was- just a table which was devoid of any setting or tablecloth, and had not been cleaned from the previous meal. This was done hurriedly, and service commenced. The food was ridiculously fussy - I would describe it as some sort of 'fusion cuisine'. We managed to find some 'mix and match' items on the menus, but it was not enjoyable, and I felt we were ignored in favour of this large party group. All in all, it was an expensiveand a very disappointing evening, and we will not eat there again.

We visited here again for a Valentine's evening meal. Unlike previous visits, the menu was unappealing and although you could 'mix and match', the menu was still extremely fussy. My main course was fish, and this was very dry. My partner's lasagne had a piece of eggshell mixed in, and there also appeared to be some additional risotto on the plate which was not set out on the menu. All in all very average, which was a disappointment for an evening of which we had expected more.

I took my partner here just for a Valentine's dinner this year. We were not staying at the hotel. The ambience was first class, and as we took our seats at het tafel, I noted that the restaurant had made a special effort to celebrate Valentine's day . There was a wide variety of menu choices, including a special Valentines menu, and the menu was available in both Dutch and English. Our food was tasty and so enjoyable, and there were little Valentine extras included and served up by the restaurant . Waiter service was impeccable. Altogether, a marvellous evening in every respect, at a reasonable price. Highly recommended .

i arrived at the hotel to find the reception desk unoccupied and looked like it wasnt in use. i had to wander around a bit to eventually find a member of staff who directed me to the bar. the person who checked me in was the chef which was a bit odd the rooms were quite comfortable although the decor is slightly dated. there were no windows only a glass door leading out to the car park. if the room was too warm im not so sure how safe it would have been to leave the door open all night. my room was the last on the corridor and wireless was very poor. the connection kept dropping the restaurant is expensive but food is of good quality. the main courses are only served in half portions and the menu advises to order 2 if a normal portion is required. so main courses alone can come to about €25. breakfast was served a mini style buffet at my table which was very well presented. included a selection of cold cuts and bread, although some cereal would have been a nice addition the hotel is very quiet and there is a playground to the side so it would be suitable for families. its located well outside the city centre so a car is necessary to get around. taxis in tilburg are very expensive

Good hotel for a short stay. The hotel is a 12 euro taxi fare from the station, so location could be a bit better. Room was nice, very clean. Enjoyed the breakfast. Helpful reception. The only negative I would say is that we got a twin room when we had booked a double.

We didn't stay at this hotel but we visited yesterday for a drink. My fiance had a cappuccino and I had a tea. Well 2 in fact. The service was good, the restaurant area was comfortable and the prices were very reasonable especially since the tea is good quality and you get little chocolate treats with each drink. We had 4 drinks in total and it worked out less than 10 euros. There are newspapers and magazines you can read and there is also free WiFi available. What would have made this into a 5-star rather than a 4-star would be the hot taps in the bathroom actually working instead of just being there, and menus on the tables. We might have ordered a snack if we had been tempted with a menu.

I have visited the Tilburg area on a number of occasions and this restaurant was recommended by a Dutch friend. It is a few kilometers outside the city centre but what a superb find. The service was efficient but relaxed. There was a menu in English and the food was superb. Altogether an excellent evening so don’t miss this one if you are in the region.
