I have stayed at other fletcher hotels and the experience was a lot nicer than this. The food was nice, but due to Covid we had to have our meals in our room, so you would see food stains or soup split on the stairs. We had a room at the front of the building and the church bells woke us up every hour, all through the night. We asked to change rooms, they moved us to the back of the hotel so the bells were very faint, but you could hear the doors closing in the hallway. I would not recommend staying here if you want to get a good nights sleep.
Due to an unexpected positive COVID test on the day we would pass the night at Fletcher hotel Prinssen, me and my girlfriend were forced to cancel the reservation. Our question was to replace the booking to a date on which rooms are certainly free. The staff replied rudely and was determined not to meet us in the middle. As a result, we had to pay the cancellation costs, which were the same as the fee of the room. Terrible customer service.
This hotel has a very popular restaurant, which seems to be the core business. As a hotel guest, you seem to come second to the restaurant guest. When checking in around 19h we had to wait for the staff of the restaurant to have a moment so we could check in. The lady who checked us in was friendly but obviously in a hurry to get back to waiting on the restaurant guests. The day after we went to the bar of the hotel, which closes at the same time as the restaurant (around 23h). Again we had to wait for a restaurant server to come to the bar to get us a drink, while they were in the bar (for only a minute at a time) to get drinks for the restaurant guests. Service again friendly but hurried. During breakfast the staff had a lot more time, service was very good, the buffet was constantly restocked. Buffet was basic but good quality. The room was also basic, no frills or extra’s. We found hairs in our bed and the bathroom was in need of a refurbishment. As this was the cheapest hotel in the area around ‘s Hertogenbosch, you get what you pay for I guess. Not bad but not great. …
Reading up on this hotel before we arrived, I got a little worried about some of the reviews, especially as I am sensitive to sound and disturbance when sleeping, and believe good customer service is very important. No need to worry! The clerk was very nice and welcoming, and it was no problem that they hadn't gotten my message about bringing two dogs. The room was not very big, but good enough with a big, double bed, nice bathroom and windows towards the garden. The hallway was very noisy, but as people don't really come and go a lot during the night it was not a problem. I would advice the hotel to get some carpets in though... The rooms also turn away from the bell that rings every hour, and I didn't hear any of it. Breakfast was ok, not great but fair enough for a small hotel. Free parking right outside the hotel, and a nice village if you want to go for a walk.…
Seems to be the theme from others too. Rude staff, basic rooms and terrible service. The food is bad, no one is ever at the bar, understaffed full stop and all round bad. Worst hotel I’ve stayed in so far in Europe and the worst staff ever. Unhelpful and rude. Pity I cannot give it a 0
It was a standard double room. I did not like my room it was simple nothing extra interior was cold and kill. de door was to thin and a big gab under my door did not like that. The area is oke there is a supermarket and Efteling is close by
We had a party close to Vlijmen so we decided to stay in this hotel. But it will not be a repeat visit. When we arrive we were greeted very friendly. The receptionist also asked us if we wanted to have dinner because then she would make the reservation. I do not know why because we were the only ones having dinner. Luckily we could sit in the bar because sitting with just the two of us in the restaurant felt a little bit weird. Food was good. Room waa very small. You could barely walk around the bed. There was not really any space to put our luggage. The rooms are also not sound proof and as the floor in the halway is without a carpet, you can atay awake allnight when people come back to the hotel. When I complained about the noise the girl at the reception asked me i had reported it. In the middle of the night? This was the same girl who was working in the restaurant during breakfast. She did not say good morning or did not pay any attention to us at all. Had to find the coffee for ourselves as it was not at the buffet but near the entrance.…
If you like the noise of church bells throughout the night, then this is the place for you. Not very friendly and the lack of sleep did not make it an enjoyable stay. The rooms were fine, but in addition to the church bells, there were groups of locals who 'hung around' at night making the noise even more unpredictable. At least church bells are predictable (every 30 minutes!), but it is like waterboarding when you are trying to sleep.
Just returned from a 5 night stay at this hotel, the location of this hotel is perfect and the food was excellent, however if you want a good nights sleep stay elsewhere. The bar in the hotel closes at 2300, which is fine if you have an early start the next day. On the Wednesday night of my stay, most of the staff who were not working had gathered on the front deck area and where holding a celebration of some description, the guest where removed from the bar at 2315 as per normal, and basically sent to bed!. Only for the staff who where on the deck area to move into the bar and continue the party until 0145, loud music and noise could be heard as i had one of the room above the bar area. On leaving the party at 0145 the noise of scooters, car horns people screaming outside was disgusting and disrespectful to the guests. I complained the next day and was met with a response of "oh did you hear us", not even an apology. This soured my stay and i would recommend trying another hotel to anyone thinking of staying here.…
