A smart looking building down a narrow road through a lovely red brick village. The coach was there so that we could go to the Floriade the next morning .It was a long journey from the UK and we arrived late. The receptionist was not very welcoming but the staff in the dinning room, Danny's , were really kind and helped us to a good meal with 3 choices of mains, starters and deserts. Dinner the following evening was also good, a special pork dish. The Sunday dinner was a bit od a shambles. Maybe the chef had the night off? The two rooms were beautiful with a chrome and glass bathroom, with hair dryer, The single room I was given was very small and only had a wet room with very uneven floor tiles. It was about a sixth of the size of the twin. Having paid a£89.00 single suppliment. I was really upset. The bed was like a box with the lumpy mattress in it.…
Having travelled from the UK by coach leaving in the early hours of the morning, we arrived at this hotel located in the middle of nowhere. We were a coach group travelling around Europe and this was our first night hotel stop. No meals were available for us as the restaurant was full and even when the tables were vacated we were unable to use these tables to order food. It resulted in the group having to order in food to be delivered which did not go down well. Rooms are quite dated yet are clean and comfortable. Very peaceful location and had a good nights sleep, bed was very comfortable. In a rural location surrounded by some pleasant walks complete with ponies at the rear of the property. Book ahead if you require meals as there is nowhere else to dine in the area.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, in the middle of the woods. The restaurant and public areas in the front of the hotel are very nice. The food is also very good, breakfast and diner. The part of the hotel where the rooms are located is really outdated. The rooms are old, expecially the bathroom. It looks a bit filthy to be honest. And the bed wasnt great. It was very small for two people, and the matras was.. just not very comfortable. Also, the floors are laminaat in stead of carpet, which is cold on your feet in winter. We had to cranck the heat all the way up, since it was very cold in the room. We missed a water kettle to prepare tea in the evening. We booked with voordeeluitjes, and it felt like we were put in one of the smallest cheapest rooms (we still paid a few hundred bucks for our stay). So overall it has good and less good qualities. We were out of our rooms a lot to visit Den Bosch and walk in the woods. If you want to stay in your room for longer periods, id advice another hotel. If you want to explore the area, this is a good place. …
Downsides are slightly outdated rooms and little water presure in the shower ( due to the location in a nature reserve), but that's it to grumble about. It is far outstripped by the unfailingly friendly staff, who go out of their way (a lot!) to cater to your wishes in dietary needs and extra comfort in the room. And last but certainly not least the amazing food! The location is simply gorgeous, so yes, heartfelt 5 star recommendation!
Fairly newly built in a very square style, uninteresting but in a beautiful location surrounded by woods. I had several very pleasent walks around the hotel. Good value but no luxury. Single rooms are literally single, you couldn't fit a double bed if you tried and they have a shower but no bath. Breakfast buffet was reasonable and teh restaurant for dinner very good. Ideal for visiting den Bosch
I spent a week for business meetings, a very nice hotel, friendly staff, so helpful. Good food, good service. I recommend it for people who like a quiet retreat in the middle of the forest, with some biking. But in general, small rooms...no problem, if you use it only for sleeping... The hotel has lots of public spaces, indoor and outdoor.
I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights on a business trip and it was a wonderful stay. The bedroom are a little dated, please invest in some new flat screen TVs but they are clean functional and comfortable. The food is great quality and the service the staff offer is better than some 5* hotels. The location is quiet, tranquil and you can be guaranteed a good nights sleep. I am looking forward to staying here again.
I have stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during a business trip. It is surrounded by woods and this offers a great place for relaxing after a hard day. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was nice and covered a large variety of choices but the coffee tasted like burnt plastic all three mornings. The rooms are extremely small. The previous reviews already stated that but they were being too easy on it. They are so small that a mouse asked me to step out of the room just so that he could pass through. Just joking... There are no mice... Or at least I couldn't see them. Everything else was pretty decent. It was as expected for this type of hotel. One more thing to mention: if you don't have a car pick some place else. This location is too remote for public transportation.…
Stayed there for a week, part of a business trip. Very quiet place, excellent and clean room, excellent food. Location is right outside of the closest city, so you have to plan in advance for supplies. Do not forget to have a drink right next to the fireplace.
They also have a sauna (no additional costs). The relaxing area is a little small but apart from that there is nothing to complain. Free WiFi, good service, descend food and very kind personal. Even. Extra wishes are no problem (I asked for TWO additional towels for the sauna).
