Staff great room adequate location reasonable but the full hotel needs a deep clean. they claim covid hygiene standards, but the room I had had not been cleaned since original lock down, toilet stained, first flush was black as if not been flushed for a year. soap dispensers seized up surfaces not spotless, Nespresso machine not emptied, (if your going to put a nice feature in place keep it nice). flying biting things in the room. ask for a room facing away from MacDonald's, all night noise even though we were on a 8pm curfew dont expect an UBER to come to take you anywhere there are none around. apart from that it was an enjoyable stay.
They did not clean the room for my 4 days stay. They said that it is their policy to clean the room only every 4 days. But this rule is not mentioned anywhere on their website or during booking. In addition the staff did not professionally solve the problem, they actually ignored my complaint. They also could not speak a proper english. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.
The hotel was nothing special, I only picked it because it's so close to SAP. Room and bathroom were average. Dinner and breakfast were alright. Heating takes a while to start working. Bed is warm/comfortable.
Got surprised by parking costs at the reception. Took about 15 min. to check in. Found a dirty toilet and shower. In the morning went for breakfast. There was no-one welcoming us in the restaurant. When we got ourself some coffee an annoyed employee told us we should check in with her first. When getting food and cutlery another employee told me i couldn't take the cutlery from the bar and i should find a table with everything on it. There were only a few tables set up in the corner. Not very welcoming. Wont come here again.
Really not a modern nice hotel, very noisy at all times due to the highway, rooms are like caves with poor lighting and smell is very dusty (and look at that toilet!). They charge for the room 48hrs in advance, even though cancellation should've been possible up to 24hrs. Especially bad for business travel/anybody who has some standards.
Hotel is a bit remote. Its sits along side a dual carriage way next to a McDonalds. For sure not a good place to be if you don't have a car. Hotel rooms seem very gloomy and tired. But for a couple of nights you are OK. Dinner was fine but with a limited selection. Restaurant only open in the evening for 7-9pm which is obviously limiting. Hot breakfast was poor (bacon and omelette cooked in bulk). Nice fresh bread and fruit. Slightly worrying about the number of rats running around in the garden outside when the sun goes down. Poor seems too low and average too high for this hotel.
Pros: Clean, kind reception and staff Cons: Far from everything, only 1 McDo then it is a desert. Breakfast poor compared to its price. Nothing to do in the hotel. Bus station far around 10min walking. For 2 consecutive days, they call me a taxi, the taxi says to arrive in 15min, the taxi arrives in 40min. also the taxi where smelling very bad as the driver were smoking inside just before getting me in
Very bad hotel. Impossible to cancel a room even 24h before (for obscure reasons), room not prepared, very noisy room and not modern... avoid it ! We will go in another one next time, we really had a bad experience
From check-in to check-out I could not find anything positive other than location near the highway. Then again if your hotel room is also just next to the highway how can you enjoy a night stay. Not that there was much to enjoy as the rooms should have had a complete overhaul years ago and that overhaul should then also have taken place again. It feels mushy. Lights in the shower are two bulbs; shower curtain is hanging and you cannot even call it a shower actually; towels you can look through. Breakfast area was a disaster with plates and glasses scattered all over the place. The buffet was poor and badly organised. Nothing to be found and nothing interesting on it. Checking out you pay 5 euro for the parking to arrive at the parking beam that tells you, yo have to pay another 20 euro but then when you go back to ask what that is about the girl at the reception desk tells you that you should have pushed the info button and she would have opened the gates for you to escape this drama of a place. Never again and most likely this goes for any of the other Fletcher hotels in the Netherlands…
I found this hotel clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I totally enjoyed my short stay at this hotel. I liked the location, it was a pleasant walk into the town centre although there were transport options. The cooked breakfast was lukewarm, but edible. The restaurant meal in the evening was excellent. A nice view of the lake and wild life too.
