Very efficient front desk team. Instant check in check out. Spacious and clean room. Excellent bathroom space and luminosity. The restaurant is excellent. Unfortunately the bar was booked for an event at the time of my stay. Recommend stay.
Large light and airy rooms which are very comfortable with high quality beds and furniture. Good and busy restaurant with ample choice. Very friendly immaculate staff. Plenty of free parking. Close to motorway.
Heard hotel was recently renovated to include new wing, rooms and indoor heated pool. Hotel was a short walk from my office, so only made sense to stay there. Otherwise Nootdorp is a small "village"located between Den Haag / The Hague and Rotterdam. The Hotel has a large lobby, bar and 1 restaurant. The Good: 1. Room was a good size with large floor/ceiling windows. 2. Spacious bathroom with shower and separate bathtub. 3. Restaurant food was nice. Had breakfast there daily, and dinner a couple of times. 4. Inroom coffee machine was a great to have. 5. Free wifi, and rather stable. To improve: 1. Refill the vending machines on the floors 2. Perhaps some exra English language TV channels would be nice. 3. Housekeeping appeared to be running on a tight shift or understaffed. A couple times, only bathroom was cleaned and bed made. Dear Van Der Valk, It was indeed a splendid stay in your hotel with your receptionist being the most “friendly” recept I have ever experienced, given this a 4 star hotel? My first experience with your hotel was great and I returned. I really liked the hotel but this time round, I have decided that we should cease our future returns and I shall not extend my stay. For reasons you need to know. I am here with my working colleagues and was asking for the room number of my colleague because his stuff was still with me and wanted to pass him. I shared with your colleague I have a room here and told her I could give her my colleague’s full name and she could verify on the call with him. All your staff did was to ask in return what was his room number was. This sea-blue eyed staff didn’t even bother to try looking at your system or offered other ways. Really? Had I known, I wouldn’t be asking, no? No, there was no other help she offered and yes, I stormed off when your staff shared that this is the policy and blah blah blah.. like I didn’t know what data protection is about? Seriously? Not sure why this hotel doesn’t have name tags to compliment the staff or was it worried that their names maybe written here for fear of.. whatever? Furthermore, your counter staff was not even smiling or polite to ask if there is anything they can help when I first approached but stared at me in the eye. This is how helpful your receptionist is tonight at approx 9.35pm last night. Do try robots as an upgrade in future really if this is the kind of warmth that the reception or the services that the hotel is offering. We paid for the rooms and services. Quite a joke actually. The recept this morning assisting me was helpful and I wanted to write a good review but they have crushed whatever it is. I cannot believe my experience here. And.. is it the culture that you don’t deliver our request to the room? The recept staffs acutely instruct us to collect at the reception Without manners of please? Or offering the option? Such as delivering a new set of shower amenities to the room? Standards? Services? Really? Please also share about the kettle that you are no longer providing in rooms anymore, the beds not separated, and the room key card didn’t work. This has been a disaster really. Expectations unmet. Not welcome nor pleasant. Comfortable, only with your beds but not really comfortable with the services you couldn’t deliver. I am not hopeful for any prompt attention on this.…
This is a very nice hotel, with free parking under hotel. Our room had just been remodeled and was clean and new. Room 404. It had a safe and a refrigerator. The restaurant was good for breakfast and dinner.
If you want to stay outside the big cities this hotel might be an option for you. Communication is easy by car and train. During a weeks stay, that included conferens at the hotel, I can only recommend it based on it’s high standard, good food and service, and an extra ordinary breakfast.
The hotel location is good. You can walk for 10 min to reach the nearest train station. The rooms are very spacious with a big bathroom. The hotel is so busy and the breakfast as well. The staff are very helpfull.
This hotel gave the impression of being quite fancy, but the rooms are really dark and dingy and had the feeling of something from the 70's. The restaurant was good but the service was very slow. I'd stay there again for business but not for pleasure
Nice rooms, nice location, horrible service at the bar... twice I had to wait for 20 minutes for someone to take my order..whilst there were just 5 other guests at the bar and two people serving them. Ok..maybe it is a self service location...i went to the bar and stood in front of it for an other 5-7 minutes..and still was completely unnnoticed/ignored...i left it in the end without being seen.. At that point..if you are sti staying at that hotel..you can juat sross the road and have a dinner/drink at "Witte Paard". At least there the personal is not blind
When leaving The Hague during rush hours, you better make a stop at Nootdorp’s Van der Valk, relax and have a nice meal. They have a wide variety of dishes on the menu and of good quality. Spacious environment, a bit noisy especially during lunch.
