Hotel very tired. Staff friendly, but lack of staff effected service. Breakfast was chaotic, lack of plates, glasses, fruit, cooked food, had to keep asking staff for these items. Cheese, butter, yoghurt all left uncovered. Staff were doing their best, rushing around, but needed more staff to provide an efficient service.

This was a very sad occasion as it was my husbands funeral wake and I needed everything to be organised and to run as smoothly as possible as I knew this was going to be one of the most terrible days of my life. I pre booked the Room, pre booked the finger buffet (very odd 5 items only per... More

An immaculate venue for a wedding reception. On 11th June we held our daughter's wedding reception at the Chichester Hotel and we used the Essex Barn and the Gallery for the reception and pre-reception drinks. The tables and chairs in the Essex Barn was well laid out as were the tables. The food was well presented and hot and services... More

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here with two other couples. We were attending a wedding near by so although we didn't spend much time in the hotel, the short time that we did, we enjoyed. The rooms were spacious, the bed was comfy and the breakfast was very nice the next morning! Good value for money.

I stayed here for two nights on business. Can't fault the place. Check in was efficient. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Restaurant was good. Carvery is available some nights but on other nights there is a decent choice. Will use again if in the area.

For my wife's surprise birthday party I needed to accommodate 17 couples including a well known blues band, duly the rooms were booked. I asked if the hotel would be able to serve breakfast for these guests plus others on Sunday morning, I was assured they would. However the service was diabolical, people were waiting too long and offered the... More

Stayed at the hotel for an event. The room was more than adequate, clean and good facilities. Th problems are with the food (An essential part of any hotel stay) On the Sunday as a group of 4 we ordered the carvery. Booked a table for 3.30pm although it was relatively empty. The beef was so dry it was like... More

I got to spend my birthday here last weekend, as a surprise treat, lucky me! My husband spent a lot of time searching for somewhere so we where both really pleased his hard work paid off. This hotel is lovely, the staff went out of their way on so many occasions to make it so brilliant for us. The bar... More

Well I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. The room was very dated, but clean and tidy. The bed was amazing, sooo comfortable and bed linen lovely and soft. However the furniture looked a bit tired and the rooms really needed brightening up! In the corner of the room by my side of the bed there was a number... More
