Had three nights and four days here. Rooms very good and extremely clean. They have a balcony too. Well stocked mini bar but no kettle or tea or coffee in the rooms. When taking to other guests apparently this is the norm in that part of the world. Usual European style of room where there are twin beds pushed together...

This hotel for us was a bit of a stop over in our trip around Germany, but we would have had no problem satying here for a bit longer. We had a beautifull, spacious room (we had a Junior Suite), with a large balcony. Though it was warm when we stayed here, the room was cool enough to get a...

My husband and I have been cycling in Denmark and Germany and we stayed here on a cycling circuit of the Altmuhl Valley. It was the kind of place where you never want to leave. The whole atmosphere was one of harmony and tranquility. Our room overlooked a lovely garden and small chapel. There was a pool which we didn't...

We arrived after a day of cycling and were immediately impressed with the friendly and helpful staff. Sometimes hotel staff can seem to be a little offhanded with bike riders just overnighting; but not here at the Eisvogel. We indulged ourselves in the resort's first class facilities - sauna, steam room, pool. Unfortunately didn't have time for a massage -...

only a 1 night business trip but this is a very nice place to stay. Rooms are very clean and big too. Restaurant very good and staff all too helpful, even the owner came to the table to say hello. Food both for evening meal and breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Riverside setting really quiet and only shame...

The Eisvogel is a family run hotel that can be recommended to anyone, business travellers, families or couples. It's got a real Bavarian atmosphere, very good restaurant, nice rooms (especially the very smart and modern new rooms in the extension opened in 2013) and a pleasant spa/sauna area. The staff are always very friendly - and dressed in traditional Bavarian...

During our month in Europe this was the best hotel we stayed in. The village is quite small but an old Roman town renowned as a spa. The hotel on arrival looked beautiful in Swiss chalet style with flowers and well maintained grounds near the river. The rooms were spacious. Beautiful indoor swimming pool Facilty with full spa facilities. The...

We stayed there for only 1 night. Rooms were nice and clean with nice views but the baths need some updating. It's a beautiful and cozy venue, including the rooms, their restaurant and outdoor space but I think the hotel was overpriced. One serious drawback was the check-out time - 10.30 am!!! Come on, seriously?! I would recommend it, overall...
