I stayed three nights at Mama Leuahs Guesthouse and it was amazing. Lutz and the rest of the family are very helpful and the restaurant is just delicious. I really enjoyed the stay there and wish now I could eat a Cordon Bleu again :-) thank you so much for all your help, storys and Kümmel-Shots! :)

We stayed at Mama Leuah's for 3 nights in September. We've never felt so welcome at a guesthouse and Lutz, who runs the place with his wife and mother in law, makes every effort to make you comfortable. He gave us a lot of advice for travelling around the islands and for our onward journey. The bungalows are beautiful and...

From the moment we arrived till the moment we left Lutz was an incredible host and place to explore the 4000 islands. He made sure everything was perfect! The view from the room was incredible, the food was the best we have had in a long time and the assistance with booking tickets for the next part of our adventure...

When we arrived at mama leuah it was a bit like coming home. Everything was clean and the food (local and western - you should try the cordon bleu) was the best we got in 1 month travelling across laos. Lutz, who is running everything, is such a nice guy. Felt like talking with an old friend..

By far the best place we stayed. The guest house is run by a German man and his Wife (Mr.Luts and Mrs.Peng) The menu is impressive and mama Leuah special Schnitzel is highly recommended and the Swiss Rosti for breakfast. Mr.Luts makes this special drinks - Lao Lao and will bring a shot to you when you dine there!

On arrival in the guesthouse we were welcomed and greeted in a very nice way by Pheng and her husband Lutz. The room was simple but clean and absolutely fine. It was clean, a comfortable bed and a fan. Bathroom with western style toilet, sink, mirror and a shower (cold water, but that’s fine for us as well). Very nice...

* Bungalow * Best location on the island, very quiet so relaxing is not a problem! Very cosy, clean(!) and spaceous. The private terrace with the 2 hammocks is the absolute winner! What a view... * Restaurant * Sooo good! If I could recommand anything, I would say: book a few more nights and just try it all! (We ate...

The bungalows are very basic, which is totally fine. Everything is working. You just shouldn't be afraid of having a bathroom frog. He is really cute, though. You get two hammocks, which you don't get everywhere! A big plus. Great spending your time with hanging around, views on the Mekong. The only thing we didn't like was there was no...
