Span Resort & Spa is the first and only river-side resort in the Kullu valley. Convenient drive from Chandigarh, it is further connected by excellent road to the National Capital city of New Delhi. The wedding ceremony of my Son at Span Resorts and Spa . The Location, Ambiance and environment of the resort is so beautiful, calm and magnificent and the natural river front of mejestic beas river is unforgettable. The support offered by team span resort was very good , prompt in restaurant , Room service and housekeeping etc. My entire guests had enjoyed the venue and appreciated the environment during the stay. Our entire stay for three days at resort is memorable and unforgettable for life time and beyond my expectation.

All that one looks for when planning a trip with the intention of relaxation is situated in Span resort. The extravagant place is located on the edges of manali and is surround by a blanket of nature- starting from trees pondering throughout the resorts to river beas being sheltered by hilly snow mountains. The rooms are molded in the shape of cottages which are quite spacious and well maintained, even the bathrooms. A window to is located in the cottage that leads you to a patio which will surely make you feel fresh. The staff demonstrated immense hospitality and catered to our needs perfectly. No major flaws as such, although the assortment of breakfast items seemed repetitive over our 2 days of stay.

9 of us stayed in 5 Elite rooms for 3 nights. The experience was literally out of the world. Excellently kept outdoors with Beas flowing by, 5 star level rooms and to top it all absolutely unbelievable level of hospitality and service from all - from the clourfully dressed house keeping ladies to the F&B team , and of course the front office - we found their dedicated service unparallaled. I travel extensively abroad I am a platinum member of the Intercon group and also the Marriot group. having stayed in many of their hotels. But I found Span much better in many ways.. The only negative is it is not well connected to Delhi/Chandigarh. The Chandigarh Kullu road is being widened and so hopefully it will be easier to reach. ( We stayed at a place called Bilaspur to break the long 9 hr drive into 2 half days. )

Here we go again, my overall review and suggestion for this property would be if you want to eat mosquitoes and hair in your food, this is the place for you. After finding out a strand of hair in the morning breakfast’s dosa, we gave the chef a second chance and ordered idli, in which there was another strand. Again on making a proper mention about it, the manager insisted and got us chilly cheese toast, which again had a strand. Honestly, a mistake like this can happen once but not thrice. I had posted a negative review about this property before as well, to which the general manager as well as the F&B manager made up for it just to get the review deleted. After mentioning about 25 things that were not right in this hotel, the team made sure to serve their best to us. And after getting the review deleted, the morning breakfast made us come to a conclusion that we will neither come to this property nor will ever recommend it to anyone. We stayed for couple of nights in Span Resorts in Jun 2021. This property has been suggested by a friend who stayed there in past. No doubt, it is a great property at super amazing location, next to river, where you can see scenery and relax in nature.
Property: location is amazing, you can see river from rooms too. This property could have been best property to stay but I feel it’s let down by its staff and how management handling it. I felt management staff is not that supportive, bit arrogant and don’t bother too much. You have to ask for everything or small thing! Reservation process also needs better handling as ton of calls and few email exchange just to get confirmation. I hope that such a property should have a professional managed team to handle reservations. We did check out a day earlier and they agreed to that so thanks for this(May be due to huge rush in Manali as most of the hotels were sold out).
Food: not a great spread, especially when you see the ‘luxury’ tag associated with the property. We had buffet breakfast and dinner for couple of days and simply it’s not have that variety as you want to see. Management really need to action on this. Must say that some of the Indian curry we had in dinner was marvellous, they did it differently and tasted amazingly.

The natural landscape is very well played to give the place a very beautiful and calming effect. A river flows at the side which is very clean and clear; The breakfast room has a beautiful view of the river and the garden where one can stroll and sit for a peace of mind.. there are wodden houses or rooms which looks like small cottages in a lush of green garden.. there is ample of space inside the campus for a stroll at anytime of the day… the hotel and kitchen staff are nice and polite and the hotel provides us with necessary facilities (on request) like cabs and even outdoor activities etc… the rooms, bathrooms are very well furnished and all necessary things are being provided… it was our first visit and we had a very great stay as tourist couple! I highly recommend it for others as well..!

Worst experience. Too many flaws and things i did not like. The room has a door which is connected to the other room and it latched. Gives an awkward feeling that someone is literally staying next door. The entry door of the room has only glass doors. You can't switch on a light and leave the room else everrything is visible inside the room because of glass doors. The siston in watchroom was faulty and even after complain it wasn't recitified properly. So much for such a luxury property that even as basic toilet seat isnt working properly. Worst experience. Very far away from main Manali. The access to the river is locked but anyways the river has completely dried up behind the resort. Complete waste of money and effort. Worst hospitality. I wish I could give 0 rating

I would also like to submit a few clarifications regarding the issues you have raised. • The room allocated to you was an interconnecting room. This is a standard norm in hotels due to the guest requirements. Please be assured that the door is absolutely secured from both the rooms, thus, they can be used as individual rooms. • The glass door has a curtain which can be used if one does not want to see the lawns view from inside your room. • Manali is just a 15 minutes’ drive from the resort. • Access to the river is blocked to avoid an untoward incidents involving the guest. The location and courteous staff are the highlight of this property. It is right next to the river and you can enjoy amazing views of the river and the mountains. The property is green with lot of trees and flowers, which adds to the scenic views. It is absolutely wonderful to take walks and sit out in the patio to enjoy the view. The property is located between Kullu and Manali and offers a peaceful stay, away from the crowds of Manali and yet is close enough for day trips in and around Manali. It would be more comfortable if one has their own car as taxis can be get a bit pricey. The hospitality at the resort is wonderful. Food is fine, nothing to rave or complain about. This property is definitely worth it you are looking for a quite peaceful stay and having a good time with friends/family.

It is just amazing property. The Riverside area, the garden, the lobby, the rooms everything is just amazing . I went there as a musician to celebrate my friend Anil Wadhwa's birthday there special thanks to him And the staff is excellent. They are very helpful kind . Five star for hospitality . Food is too good plus you get everything there with the great view, service and cool breeze weather . Property is at Riverside so the weather is quite cozy and cool there even in summer . We made reservations 2 months prior to visiting. 2 weeks before the trip they cancelled the reservation giving reasons of ongoing renovation. We made alternative reservations but visited the resort at that time and no construction or renovation was visible and the resort was functioning as if it was fully booked. The whole experience proved to be very expensive as last minute reservations had to be made at a different resort.

Dear Guest, First of all, your review is not valid as you never stayed at the resort. As was explained to you multiple times, we had to unexpectedly shut down the resort during your proposed dates of stay due to some urgent renovation that could not be avoided. Our team spoke with you, explained the situation to you and you agreed to cancel the reservation. A 100% refund of the booking amount was immediately remitted to you, which you accepted. While you were in Manali, you entered the resort under a false pretence. While you were here, the situation was again explained to you by the senior management and even proof of the renovation that the resort had undergone during your proposed dates of stay was shown to you. Instead of believing the team as well as the ample proof that was shown to you that the resort was indeed under renovation, you chose to disbelieve the team as well as give no credence to the visual proof that was shown to you. It seems that the only objective here is to falsely malign the resort and its reputation by making fallacious claims and blaming the resort for a situation and circumstance that you had initially agreed to and accepted, including accepting the 100% refund that was remitted to you for your booking. We strongly object to this review and the false accusations you have made in it, and will be reporting the same to Trip Advisor.
