The Pension I had room 303. Small but functional, with panoramic sea views and a beautiful sunset. A superb bed very comfortable, a very soft pillows . Finally a very good night.
In the morning surprise for breakfast: chocolatines, croissants, corn petal, baguette, honey, salty and sweet butter, 3 homemade jams, various cold cuts, cheese platter, various yogurts, tea, coffee, herbal tea. Rare to have such a large choice.
Congratulations for the staff and management.
First step is the reservation: after four calls the reservation is made. Nothing too serious, you would say, but a good indicator of the general organization.
Once there, we are seated at a table and a beautiful evening full of emotions and surprises begins.
One of the very young waiters takes our aperitif order and comes back quite quickly with it, obviously forgetting something.
We asked a second waiter what the first had forgotten and after five minutes it was the first who brought them to us while the second came by 4 times with nothing.
Well, they are young, we can forgive them.
What follows is a mosquito attack during the interminable wait to order.
A technique to consume aperitifs before the meal?
No, because the tables next door were in the same situation and some who arrived later were able to order well in advance. Another lack of organization because two beginners for 20 tables… good luck.
After 30 minutes we called a waiter to place an order. 20 minutes later still nothing at home, neither to the right nor to the left.
We move inside because I can't stand the mosquitoes anymore and that's when we'll be able to observe behind the scenes.
There is definitely a manager, or two…. The lady sticks her nose out from time to time while someone stays at the bar doing nothing.
Oh yes, he taps on his terminal as if he could watch TikTok.
After a real hour of waiting (after the twenty minutes pre-aperitif) our starters are there.
The little comment from the waiter also “a little late”…. Obviously the cold starter was cold and the hot starter too… the ravioli were suddenly less appetizing.
It’s too much, we decide to leave and then it’s the magical moment of revelation. Another family is already at the bar complaining about the wait, behind us the same…
There, the person who was playing you were on the terminal doesn't seem to care and is still tapping away for nothing while the first customer complains about the service. “Okay sir, I’ll check with management” …………….
………
…..
He never came back and he is the very first young waiter who comes back quite simply to collect the drinks without even having the gumption to give discounts.
For us, he even tried to charge the ravioli cold.
You shouldn't dream.
Instead of taking their courage in both hands and announcing the end of the evening because the chef has left and mixing it with free drinks or reductions, they all played weak and left one by one because yes, the second young waiter came, then left.
And to think that we were thinking of this place for our wedding.
It is a shame this room flee the 112
Otherwise the restaurant is rather a good value Award and a nice view on the terrace breakfast is very good
The bedroom and bathroom are microscopic, very complicated to move with two.
We had booked a room with a double bed and we had two small beds glued together. As we arrived “late” (21:30) we could not warn anyone of these problems.
The rooms are not very soundproofed and isolated. It was very hot (no air conditioning but a small fan) and we heard our neighbors all night making noise.
We were very disappointed with the benefits.
The carpets in the entrance area, stairs and hallway too the rooms where appalling.
Even the smell hit you on entry.
Room carpets a little better.
Restaurant attached to the rear , more like a beach bar, bare and lacking any style.
Rear of hotel all shutters had been removed and stone work fulling out.
Breakfast - adequate but the individuals made no effort to interact. Help yourself.
The Location was very good but there is nothing that I can say positively about the building itself.
Final point as we where leaving the carpets where being ripped up - years over due- but guests had not been informed and the mess……that was to take 4/5 days .
Not even a cheap hotel. 120 per night.
Honestly I preferred the restaurant the large chalet in the street further down with a view of the sea and a real welcome and good value for money and atmosphere.
Good reception, despite uneven interactions depending on the people at the desk.
The hotel is rather quiet and offers an authentic setting by the sea, while being set back from the hustle and bustle of the center, which is nevertheless accessible in 5 minutes on foot. For those who prefer fresh water, there is a small swimming pool.
Family room, clean, spacious, comfortable, in the main building (on the 3rd floor without elevator, lol!).
Breakfast is certainly one of the hotel's plus points: rich and varied.
and if the weather is nice you can take it on the terrace with a view of the sea and its tides.
We can only recommend this hotel for a short stay, we felt good there, like in a family home.
THANKS.
