Easter lunch at Galet Bleu. And yes, this establishment is a hotel but not only that! Smiling and warm welcome. Quality products. Freshness of dishes and careful cooking. Informed advice in the choice of wine. This place is a real nice surprise…. Definitely recommended!

Very nice experience at Galet bleu. Eco room but which offers all the comfort expected of a 2** hotel. Hearty and complete breakfast. The whole team takes great care of you from arrival to departure. In addition, it benefits from a beautiful location. We will come back !

Small 2** Pension almost on the beach.
Too bad no private parking but a large public parking space of 500 places at 200/300 meters around.
Cool welcome, small room, bathroom with some experience
Very nice breakfast in the restaurant room with views of the life of fouras
View of Fort Vauban from our room

Manager with little care and friendly welcome! Our room was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast is hearty.
We had dinner at the hotel restaurant one night and it was very good.
In short, we had a great stay at the Galets Bleus.

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel. the first, a couple of years ago we were the only guests. This time around, Easter 2019, the hotel was completely full. On both occasions we enjoyed our stay enormously. It is but two minutes walk to the seafront and situated at the top of the main shopping street, with cafes, shops and the fantastic market again a couple of minutes walk away. there is some limited parking on the street outside the hotel, but a large free public car park is handily placed on the seafront next to the Vauban fort. The hotel is casual, decorated in a typical, modern 'seaside fashion'; everywhere is light and bright. the staff are small in number, but always helpful. the owner serves breakfast and is generally on hand to welcome guests and answer questions, always in the best of humour. If however, you are expecting 24/7 service forget it, as I said it is small. homely and personal. The bar shuts when the restaurant is empty for instance. While we didn't east in the restaurant it seemed extremely popular, particularly at lunchtimes and had a good choice of seafood,

Lovely small hotel in the town, short stroll to the beach, parking nearby. Lots of reasonable restaurants close and pizzeria next door. Patron very helpful and friendly. Room small but very comfortable and clean. Staircase steep and narrow so not suitable for some people.

We stayed for three nights last August in this friendly hotel . The room was very small for the price with minimal storage and shower room space. The bed was comfortable and we had peaceful nights sleep. The hotel in situated in a wonderful small seaside town and has a superb indoor fish market. There are a few reasonable restaurants nearby. The breakfasts were good and can be taken outside in an attractive courtyard so can a glass of wine in the evening. The hotel was very difficult to find by car and there is no parking around the local street. We parked for free up by the fortress, but be careful not to park on the market area otherwise your car will be towed away. We stay at the hotel again but would make sure of a larger room.

Reception was very friendly. The hotel is quite old, but done up nicely.
The breakfast room has got a nice atmosphere, the staircase is old but the rooms have been redecorated recently. The bathroom is very small, but clean. Unfortunately there was a faint smell of sewerage in the room, I don't know if it came from the bathroom or from outside. The beds are OK. There was some streetnoise during the night.
The hotel is not far from the boulevard and beach and also near the main shopping street.
Breakfast was OK, but you have to pay extra. The owners have only got this hotel for a short time and they are planning to improve it. Free wifi.
Parking was about a 5 minute walk.

Our favourite Fouras hotel La Roseraie was fully booked, but Carole the owner phoned around to find us an alternative, which is how we ended up in Le Galet Bleu. A centrally located small hotel, we got the last room, almost in the attic up the steepest stairs I've seen. The room though small was clean and comfortable. The owner was very friendly, though at first I thought it was run by comedian Bill Bailey, the resemblance was uncanny. The evening food in the restaurant looked good, though we ate elsewhere, and the following day's breakfast was also good. No problems at all, apart from those stairs, so recommended.

Reasonable hotel for the price. Clean room and bathroom. The staircase is steep and winding and difficult to get up with a heavy suitcase. Very good location close to the beach and shops. Car park nearby next to the fort which was free in September. Good pizzeria opposite.
