Our stay started off rocky after being woken at 3am on our first night by the sounds of some sort of animal either in the walls or directly outside our room. We called reception (as it was so loud and impossible to sleep) and they sent someone to check it out. We were then moved to another room which was a slight downgrade from the first one (it was a twin share, and did not have the same pool and ocean views as the first). We asked if there was any way to be put in a king room in the morning or our old room (which was a Panoramic Deluxe) if the noise problem was sorted out. The night manager said we should come down to reception the next day and they would see what could be done. The following morning, we went down, expecting to be moved back to the old room, when in fact they offered us a free double upgrade to a Horizon Deluxe room to apologise for the inconvenience!! Although we would have been more than happy to be back in a Panoramic, the Horizon Deluxe was very clean and beautifully furnished, with stunning views of two pools and the ocean. This amazing service and the upgrade really made our stay. Whilst our room (6203) was very high up the hills, the views made the hike up worth it.
Overall we had a lovely stay with no issues at all, after the first night. This came down to the amazing service provided by the staff, and the relaxing vibes of the resort. All our requests were met without question and efficiently, including being provided a complimentary cake for my birthday, and the ability to shower and change in a private room after check out as we had a late flight. We didn’t eat in the restaurants, but the breakfast buffet was delicious and we ordered room service twice which was also very nice, and reasonably priced.
We forgot to catch names of the staff who were particularly attentive, but a very big thank you especially to the reception and concierge staff who generally handled our queries. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Phuket!!
We then got driven to our room everyone was so friendly and helpful.
The room was stunning and so spacious id class it as Luxury. They had put a fruit bowl I the room and a towel display on the bed for our anniversary 😍
The hotel has a shuttle bus to patong beach every day for a small amount of money cheaper than a taxi or tuk tuk. We made use of this a lot.
They also offer a shuttle to the beach but we walked most days as it wasn't far and we quite liked the walk down there.
Good location about 10 minute walk to Karon strip were a lot of bars and restaurants are.
All in all I have a fantastic time here.
When we eventually found someone, we started our check in procedure. All very quick , and then you are presented with a disclaimer to sign that this hotel is very environmentally friendly and in support of this you won’t leave your keycard in the room when you are not there to reduce the use of electricity! This was a hotel that was providing complimentary water in plastic bottles unlike all the others we had stayed in which were refillable glass. I think their interest was more in the electricity bill.
We were taken to our room , which was lovely but seemed far away from everything else. We were given a map but it wasn’t very big or easy to follow . You could call reception and they would pick you up, and eventually we found our way around but in the first 2hrs of arriving at this hotel we really had a bad impression.
The walk into town , described as 10/15 mins was at least 20 and not scenic . The hotel provide an excellent free shuttle service , and great during the day too and from the beach but it finishes at 6pm so if you go into town you have a long uphill walk back or 200 baht for a tut tut . The town was very touristy with few decent restaurants unless and lots of fast food.
The positives were the lovely main pool , fabulous breakfast, great shuttle service and great sunsets but I’m afraid there were too many negatives for me to recommend it
well received. We were checked in promptly and taken to our room which was right by the Mango pool and where breakfast is served.
The room itself had excellent air con, a lovely pool view (we had a Panoramic Deluxe Garden View) and was so spacious and modern. They had made a swan out of towels with rose petals presumably for our honeymoon. If I was being picky, a personal touch such as a note or some chocolates would have been nice what with this being a 5 star hotel. The shower wasn’t great sadly, poor pressure and it wasn’t sealed which flooded the bathroom whenever you used it. Bed was very comfy and huge. Rooms were cleaned really well each day. Free wifi everywhere too.
We tried the Mango pool as it was closest and it is definitely the best. The swim up bar came in handy during happy hour (cocktails are nice and reasonably priced. Food is okay not amazing.) There are shuttle buses which take you to Karon Beach but we didn’t bother going as it isn’t that nice. Complimentary water by the pool would have been nice.
Breakfast has lots of choice and I highly recommend it. Was interesting having a curry at 7am! We didn’t have dinner at the hotel as we hadn’t heard great things and it seemed dead most days. Probably due to the lack of entertainment. Having said that a ladyboy show was put on one night which was funny.
Location wise you can walk down the road for some fab restaurants and massages - try Frutta for the best one ever. We did a trip to Phuket Elephant Sanctuary which we booked privately one day and they collected us from the lobby. Be careful when asking taxis to take you home as they automatically inflate the price once you mention the name. I recommend downloading the Grab app for cheap taxis (literally half the price) which is the Asian version of Uber. We paid 900 baht to Phuket airport instead of 1800.
All in all this was a really good hotel, it is not however 5 star and some little personal touches would improve the rating so much. Staff are however very friendly and helpful and we were comfortable during our stay.
The accommodation was superb, located near to the Coconut pool and ChomTalay Restaurant. Our modern Chalet style room had a large bedroom, very large bed, sunny balcony and excellent large well equipped bathroom. A large TV on the wall if you want to watch the world news. We had a dressing area with lots of storage space for clothes etc. A well stocked and reasonably priced mini fridge and complimentary drinking water, refreshed each day. There was also a safe for valuables, passports etc. A large welcoming fan on the ceiling and separate air conditioning which we had on all the time we were in. The view from the room was stunning, looking out to the sea over tropical gardens. There were some very weird noises coming from the gardens at night but nothing to scare you too much.
The room service, staff, restaurant facilities and pools at this resort are all excellent.
The site is set in lush grounds on a steep hillside. Getting around is not a problem as the resort provides transport that is always circulating the grounds or just a quick call to reception will have a vehicle outside your door in minutes. They will transport you to wherever you wish on site. Short walks to the facilities (lots of steps and slopes) are fine but if you struggle in the slightest with walking or breathing then think seriously about staying here. Also recommended is the free shuttle bus to take you to and from Karon Beach area. The pools site are large and have swim up bars. We used the coconut pool and bar most days, the very nice staff (Pea and Nit) will provide towels, drinks, cocktails or snacks. There are gym and spa facilities available but we didn't use them this time. There are lots of sunbeds and parasols around the pools providing that relaxing holiday environment that you are looking for. We will return in the future.
This place is set on a hillside so a bit of walking, however shuttles will take you back to your rooms. We always eat out as the food is delicious and cheap with plenty of nearby restaurants (hotel a bit overpriced). A trip to Patong, Karon Beach, Kata are only a short taxi ride. Trip to Patong shopping centre is 150 Baht each from the hotel. Pool bars have happy hours from 16.00-18.00 - 240 Baht for two cocktails. Local 7/11 mini mart have cheap beer, snacks etc for your room.
All in all a great stay.

It’s roughly a 15/20 minute walk to town. Although breakfast is included and is buffet style (I have had far better elsewhere in Thailand). Though it is perfectly adequate.
Please note that after a long flight in from Gatwick (via Tui) on a package holiday the hotel quoted room would not be available until 14:00 this was particularly irksome as the timed arrival at hotel was 09:00! Being especially tired and in need of shower this was not a welcome piece of information. (To be honest in the past 20 years of travel both business or vacation I have not had that old chestnut used, without an apologetic add on to say we will obtain a room as soon as possible for you). However roughly an hour later a room was made available which was perfectly fine but only after I had made my displeasure known - the offer of a late breakfast was not a suitable alternative for me.
Rooms were very clean with a nice view of the bay.
The food was pretty bland in the hotel, I did order some pool snacks however would recommend trying any of the restaurants on the way to the hotel, better taste, cheaper and more authentic.
It’s a reasonably priced hotel but as with most hotels it is roughly 3/4 times the price as the same goods on the streets of Karon Bay. It would be a real shame if you didn’t experience the beachfront and other eateries throughout the area.
Overall the hotel is perfectly fine for a lovely chilled out holiday. I think it is unlikely to be a suitable resort for young children. Great for adults though, as long as you are ok with climbing!
When we arrived we were greeted with cold damp towels, told we’d be given a complimentary upgrade and driven to our room.
It’s pretty mountainous to get around so probably difficult with smaller children and prams. Walking into town is pretty easy and we could always get back from Karon at night for about 200 Baht.
The rooms are lovely, we had a balcony but you can’t see much for trees in the surrounding area. Our room was always spotless, the staff were lovely and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
One criticism is the shower wasn’t sealed very well so water leaked out after every shower. Not a big deal but should be considered.
A really nice touch was a beach bag and flip flops to use for the duration of your stay.
friendly, prompt and efficient. Breakfast buffet was
delightful, with free brewed drinks like iced
chocolate or Americanos made to your request! As
we had a balcony overlooking the pool, we even
noticed landscaping and pool checking was done
every single day without fail. Meticulous service
provided even at the poolside.
Huge thanks to the
concierge and the lady assisting our island travels,
they helped us book cars and the prices were
actually competitive, if not cheaper than Grab.
There's also cubbies to drive you to your room so
you never have to worry about walking more after a
whole day's exploration. Room service was really
fast too, taking about 5 minutes to reach us even
though the resort is so big! Cheeva Spa was also
amazing and the massages were unlike anything I've
experienced. Please give this place a try!
