This super B & B is located just off the motorway, about 20 miles South of Orleans. We had been strongly recommended to stay there, en route to Dieppe, by a friend and so glad we did. Le Petit Clos (the small enclosure) is run by two guys, one of whom used to be a local antique dealer, so the...

We stayed at Le Petit Clos as a stopover on our way to Languedoc and liked it so much we stayed again on the way back! We chose it because we were travelling with a flat-coated retriever and needed somewhere dog friendly. Rene and Thierry were fantastic hosts and made us, and our dog, extremely welcome. Their three King Charles...

Located in a small town close to the castles of Chambord and Cheverny, le Petit Clos is a homey place to come back to after visiting the castles of the Loire Valley. The hosts, Rene and Thierry, are warm, welcoming people. The "petit dejeuner" is spectacular and plentiful, with fresh breads and jams and homemade crepes served with pure maple...

Stuck in the middle of France without a room (the B&B we thought we had booked was overfull), this beautiful B&B came through for us at the last minute. The rooms are bright and clean. There are shady, outdoor seating areas and an indoor library/sitting room. Breakfast was superb, way over the normal French style of coffee, juice, bread and...

It is always with great pleasure that I stay au petit clos whenever I visit my family in Chaumont sur Tharonne. The Inn is beautifully and meticulously decorated with valuable antiques. The hosts, Thierry and Rene, are most gracious.: Thierry is passionate for antiquing and furniture restoration and Renee, a chef from Canada, adds his personal touch with pancakes and...

We stayed overnight on Sunday 4th May 2014, en route south to our holiday home. This was our 5th stay at Petit-Clos since 2012. As always Thierry and Rene were the perfect hosts from the moment we arrived. We relaxed after our long drive with a large glass of complimentary wine in their delightful garden. Then later strolled to the...

Stayed again July 2013 and not disappointed, infact probably enjoyed it even more after a long drive from the UK. Our hosts were perfect again, free wifi up and running, a few other guests in the garden when we arrived so nice way to unwind and chat and our dog was running free in the lovely gardens. Local restaurant closed...

We stayed just one night but Thierry & Rene were perfect hosts, we were welcomed to the garden and sat in shade with glasses of rose. The room was good with good sized bed, great shower & all the necessary things you would expect. Breakfast was excellent. They helped us to find a restaurant in Lamotte Beuvron as many were...

“Chambord is a double on the ground floor with easy access to the garden if travelling with a dog. Cheverny and Chenonceaux are connecting rooms also on the ground floor. The other three rooms are on the first floor.”
