We chose this hotel due to the wonderful castle above the Dordogne, and it was perhaps the only thing we appreciated d'urine the journey. I first have to precise that we booked using a "wonderbox" called romantic and gastronomic hostellery, according a menu du chef as dinner, with cocktail, and a night in confortable room. When we checked in, there...

Great location with a roof top pool - which was ideal in the heat. No lifts to speak of and a very narrow winding staircase. Room had a terrace, which overlooked the Dordogne river - other than that, the facilities were basic I'm afraid. Dined here and Im not a fussy eater.. well apparently I was this particular evening -...

Booked ahead for a table of 5, at 8.30pm, they had crossed off the reservation to 2. They did quickly find us a table, and squashed us up. Waitress was ok, the food came quickly, but people having main courses were served at the same time as those with entries, despite our request. Rare steaks where well done, although they...

We stayed here some years ago. Since then it has changed owners, and does not appear to have been upgraded at all. We had room 2, with a nice deck to sit outside overlooking the river. We spent a lot of time reading and drinking out there. Rooms 3 and 4 also have access to the patio. The room is...

This was a quick out of season visit and both hotel and village were empty. Rooms were basic (and perhaps more appropriate to summer in style) but spotless and entirely adequate. We had a pleasant meal in the evening and breakfasts were excellent. The owner was abroad but the staff who looked after us were friendly and helpful. .

My husband and I found this hotel at the last minute on a side trip to see the medieval city of Carcassonne. The room was lovely with modern amenities and a beautiful bathroom. It was compact but had a nice view and suited our needs. The bed was comfortable too. The staff were friendly. They have two dogs and two...

Location is good - everything else is terrible. We emailed the hotel to inform them that we would not be arriving before 10pm "closing time" and that we would be arriving shortly after 11pm. We arrive at 11:10pm. The hotel was shut. We rang the bell nothing. It was very cool and foggy. About 20 minutes later, after calling the...

extremely nice hotel in a fantastic setting reminiscent of medieval France. Thankfully, the hotel is at the bottom of the rather steep hill with a parking lot across the street. It is very comfortable with a helpful & friendly staff. Restaurant is very nice but i was disappointed in my meal.

Our room was a bit basic, but adequate. There's a small dip pool on the roof, which we didn't use. Dinner was on the outdoor terrace across the road beside la Dordogne. Really amazing salade Perigourdine and local wines. Would go back for that again! It's close to the chateau of Beynac, which people told us was the best locally...

We had an evening meal here while staying with friends in the area. The hotel is right on the main road but this did not detract although I guess it could be intrusive in the summer. We had a good choice on the menu which covered the usual regional produce and the portions were ample and well presented. We opted...
