Room furnished comfortably and with a certain taste, well-equipped bathroom separate from the WC. Varied and good quality breakfast including machine coffee with varied options, pastries, very good farm yoghurts (plain and with fruit), cold meats, jams and traditional breads. Country and quiet environment. Pleasant and attentive hosts. Direct booking without problem.

This small hotel is truly a gem, with attention to every detail by the 2 owners. It is located in a very quiet area and has private outdoor parking. The rooms are bright and very clean. Breakfast (for a fee) is a little expensive but decent. On the ground floor there is always a small lounge available with various games, books, etc. and hot and cold drinks.

A very pleasant place with a charming, quiet little room. A large comfortable bed. A nice bathroom. Very welcoming owners. What can we say about breakfast, a real treat, a buffet with a large sweet and savory choice. Even in the rain it was very good.

Excellent Hosting. Pleasant and cosy. The location of the hotel is in the beautiful and quiet countryside.
The honners provide excellent hospitality, warmth, and amiable attitude of the hotel owners. The hotel is far from the overcrowding of tourism. But close enough to all the tourism attractions.
We enjoyed a homely and friendly atmosphere.
It is much more than a hotel. After staying at this hotel, we realize that we have acquired new relatives in Alsace, France - Regine & Steeve - Lovely persons.

We visited for four days. The room was large and clean, breakfast was great as well. We really don't have any negative points to mention. The staff was extraordinarily nice and helpful. They own two lovely dogs that really never bothered us
at all.

There's not much to do in Thannenkirch, but if you simply want a place to chill, this might be the place for you. The positives are many: nicely appointed (small) rooms with modern shower and sinks, free parking, peaceful atmosphere. The reason I cannot give 5 stars is because there is room (in my opinion) for improvement. Breakfast is not included, so factor that into your price comparison - nearly $30 for two people. Also, they still have the annoying rule that if you choose to have a bottle of wine in your room that is not sold by the owner, they will had $11 to your bill. They offer an ironing board and iron if needed, but when we asked, they had none. Early in the morning around 7:00, the gardener decided to carry on a lengthy conversation with someone for nearly two hours right outside our window - that was before he started teasing the dog and getting it to bark all the time. When it came time to pay, their credit card system was messed up, so I had to pay cash. Each of these is admittedly only a small annoyance, but together they make this place less than a 5 star experience. Also remember that summers can be hot and this place has no air conditioning. In addition, there is no view to speak of from this hotel. Add to that the fact that Thannenkirch is little more than a few houses and a church with no place to really walk in the evening for sightseeing, so if you just want to veg out, go for it, but if you are looking for something a little more interesting, there are so many better choices outside of Thannenkirch. Frankly, I'm surprised at all of the gushing reviews. The place is nice, but certainly not great, and the price is not really a bargain.

I have to say that this is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in, anywhere in the world. The location is beautiful as is the hotel itself. It is stylishly decorated, spotlessly clean and immensely welcoming and comfortable. Don't be tempted to skip breakfast as the home-made pastries and breads are delicious. Nothing seems to much for Steeve and Regine who go that extra mile to make their guests feel welcome. Highly recommended.

Although the rooms are on the small side it is certainly great value for money. The hotel is spotless, there is off street parking and it is walking distance to several restaurants. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
Breakfast is not included and is an additional 11 euro pp. Given the town is so small we decided to have breakfast there. They make their own bread and croissants which were delicious.
Great place for a stop over however I wouldn't want to spend too much time at the hotel given the size of the rooms.

We had been looking for a while for a place like this, having been in Alsace several times for more than 20 years. The place is very neat, renovated two years ago, taken care of by dedicated people. A few rooms, good choice of decoration (a plus in Alsace, but it is subjective of course), nice showers. Noise can be heard inside but quite normal for a house dating of the 18th century. Rooms 7 and 8 were very nice. Nice breakfast buffet. A few restaurants around but this needs to be taken care of during the low season. The staff is however more than ready to help with advices and reservations. We will definitely go back (nice dogs by the way).

The location is newly renovated and extraordinarily clean, I can't stress that enough, I mean immaculate. The owners are some of the most friendly I have ever met in my years of travelling. I travelled with my wife and two daughters and the room was nice and cozy. The location is perfectly located for those who want to see Colmar, Riquewihr or the stunning Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg. Also, I have a large vehicle so parking is always an issue, however the parking here was perfect.
