P.S. Today in my office, we weren't talking about the match but we were only talking about the staff of the 4Lampioni hotel: A HUG TO EVERYONE, SEE YOU SOON.
A special thanks goes to the owner Pino for the availability and friendship he offers you right from the start, thanks also to his brother Domenico.
We will definitely see you soon
The main staff is composed of 2 very kind, polite, welcoming and helpful brothers.
Cooking was surprising for the standards of the hotel and some dishes were VERY good, not just in relative terms.
Very sad note, the breakfast. Only basic croissants, simple or with marmalade, no bread, no butter, no honey, no jams, forget about nutella or other stuff. Just milk, or coffee, or cappuccinos and one/two croissants. That was it. Other sad note, despite the dining area included around 10 tables, for breakfast guests are asked to move to the “veranda” just at the entrance of the hotel, which per se is pleasant, but you will find 3 tables only, that meaning: you get there and wait if the 3 tables are busy. Probably, there shouldn’t be much to wait in off-peak seasons and, when the weather is not as hot as in august, breakfast is served in the main dining area.
All in all, perfect if you are ok with something basic, in a room that faces the (much quieter) rear of the building, but not in high season when prices are way too expensive with what you get, although the area seemed to be generally over-priced so…
"Upon reserving, do ask for rooms only at the rear of the building or anyway NOT facing the main road at the front, as the main road in front of the hotel is very busy throughout the year and the windows are not enough to insulate much of the noise."Read full review
