Detailed Reviews
This property is not a homestay as it has more comforts than most homestays offer. Having booked ourselves into the super delux category, we found that this place has the following to offer- A good menu, fantastic food (if you like simple cooking against heavy masalas), very helpful staff, good standards of cleanliness, nicely done up rooms (very good storge space), and hot and cold running water. The owner of the Property is very helpful and stays on the premises itself.
Located conveniently close to many tourist attractions yet far away from any area of congestion this homestay makes an ideal getaway, and offers great walks around it. If you are a traveller looking for the trappings of a hotel or resort, this place is not for you, as this is one of those blissful places tailor made for those looking for home comforts away from home, and to beat the humdrum of noisy holiday makers. The only place where there is scope for crowds is a Sai temple within walking distance from the hotel, however this too is not a crowded temple, and we never found any congestion near it.
The staff is extremely helpful and try their level best to ensure that you are properly looked after. Room service standards were impressive than even the most trendy hotels, and this is not a mean feat as the rooms and kitchen are located at different levels.
I would seriously recommend making Dreamland a base for your stay even for Kasauli as it just takes about 20 minutes to reach Kasauli. other places to get to within reach are Sanawar and Dagshai.

Hotel Dream Land is a small property off the main road. It a a budget hotel, we stayed there on our way to chail. The hotel has only basic amneties like non- heated romms, and hot water. We only wanted to spens a night and were looking for a low budget hotel, so we decided to stay here. There is no restaurant in the hotel, they have a small pantry/kitchen, from where they supply tea/breakfast etc to the guests. SO this a a budget hotel suitable to you if you don't expect any luxury.

HI I visited Kasauli with my family on First week of October 2014. As I didn't have the idea of Kasauli, I read review and thought it's a good hotel. But My Experience was very bad.
(1) This is not kasauli, so If you thought you will get the Kasauli weather and beauty and view here, You are wasting your money. This place is some 4 km down to kasauli.
(2)I booked family suite here but infra was very poor, mattress was bad and you can get body pain because of that. Mattress was in very poor condition. see the attached image.
(3)A very minimal food options here. If you ask for any item, most of them will not be available. no sweet no ice cream. Still if you are booking this place, don't book with meal option, Whatever they have ask and pay that time, That will be even cheap option.

I stayed here with my family in August 2014 for 3 days. It was a very satisfying experience. The rooms are very new and have excellent view. The staff and owner are courteous and supportive. The in house restaurant serves really good food and very promptly. The place is bit away from the mall road making it an ideal place to rejuvenate without the hustle and bustle. Recommended.

We visited this hotel in May 2014 with my wife and daughter. The so called deluxe room was poor with a window opening against a wall. The manager told us that food will be served at the room but the room did not have a big enough table to keep food. When we ordered for food, it seems that the food was being outsourced from an external location. Finally, the manager allowed some people to drink alcohol in the area adjacent to our room who produced large amount of noise and thumping on the wall. It seems that the hotel is used to this type of people. We had to leave within two hours of checking in as it seems unsafe for the family. Avoid this place at any cost.

I have recently visited Kasusli and stayed in Dream Land Home Stay at Garkhal, Kasauli for one night. The hotel is 3 km away from main Kasuali bus stand. I have booked this hotel in advance by reading some reviews on TripAdvisor. I stayed in their Super Deluxe room. The hotel is average. The name of the room is "Super Deluxe" but there is nothing luxury about the room even basic things like soap, towels were not available. When I asked for these items a torn towels was given to us with big hole in it. The bedsheets is also not cleaned.
One more thing, during our stay, few people were talking loudly in the lobby area until 12 PM in the night and we were not able to sleep properly due to the noise they were making. I have called to the reception 2 times regarding this but the reception boy just said "Sorry" and no action was taken.
