The resort is very good and very well maintained. The Staff is more than helpful to cater to all your need.

However for the price that you pay, the rooms are in urgent need of upgrading the over all looks like furniture and lighting. Bathrooms seems to have been redone with excellent quality toiletries but Basic amenities like hair dryer were missing although provided on request.

It was good experience but unnecessarily expensive. Views from all the rooms are good.
Concern is about room service and house keeping. Can't say about govt norms during Covid but all the rooms were booked.
Most importantly resort should provide complimentary breakfast to visitors when per night room price is very high. After paying for breakfast the buffet was not very tempting. It was just serving the purpose.

Wonderful place, which is away from the hustle and bustle of Kasauli and yet not too far for those who want to spend time there. It is ideal for those looking for some peace (although there may be an occasional group to disrupt it!). There are plenty of options for those looking for a game of TT or pool or try their hands at basketball. For those who just want to relax, the balcony with every room is a great place to spend time.
Baikunth is a reasonably sized resort but well spread out. We booked online but somehow the breakfast option didn’t show, so we had to pay separately for it.
The check in was smooth and the room was ready when we arrived. Everyone was following Covid protocol and the hotel carried out a second round of sanitation in the room just to provide us additional comfort.
The staff was very courteous and helpful and exceptionally prompt in their service, providing the best possible service.
Food was great and there were plenty of options with room service being quite fast. The bar looked well stocked although we didn’t use it. The lawn outside the restaurant is another good place spend time.
We had a great time and may visit again.

Decently made hotel. Food is average. Cleanliness is a basic issue lacking . Rooms and bathrooms are not cleaned nicely, housekeeping staff cleans the room, and after it also, there is filth under the tables, toilet tiles are never cleaned, flowers which have long outlived their lives are still in toilet, dining area has grass and soil all over from last night ( even at breakfast time, the floors are not mopped ).
Would avoid staying again at a place where hygiene is not a priority.

There are pros and cons of the place:
Pros:
Staff is couteous, hard working and they try to attend to all requests at the earliest. There are many activities for children and activity centre is always open,
Outdoor gym, children play area (indoor & outdoor), TT table and cricket net is good, chess and carrom board is maintained. Basketball net is in bad shape, pool table needs maintenance, golf putting could be much better (its a small piece of carpet right now). They have good collection of Asterix and Tintin comics.
Shower area in the room is good. Clean and brightly lit washrooms. Good flow of water and geyser works well.
Linen is clean, mattresses are comfortable, king size bed. Wooden flooring.
Common open area has good grass cover and is a good place to relax.
Most rooms have a view.
Fast internet in rooms, Airtel cable with many channels on a big TV.

Cons:
It is located away from the cantonment (20-30 min by car) on another hill (Garkhal). The height is lower than Kasauli town, making it warmer than the actual Kasauli hill station.
The construction is old, some ACs make a lot of noise - was difficult to sleep due to the noise.
There are many steps to climb to get from one point to another, its ok for physically fit people.
Food is passable, difficult to eat all meals there. Most dishes are not prepared well. Breakfast buffet needs more variety and better quality for the tariff being charged. Rs 8500 after discount for two (CP), Rs 2000 for extra pax.
There are really no pleasant walking trails or nearby attractions, you have to move around inside the resort (a 500m round track with steps). Hotels in Kasauli cantt are better for nature lovers.

It was our first visit to this resort from 9th to 12the December 2021.
I (78yrs)with my wife ( 72years) visited for three nights along with my son, who drove us from New Delhi.
To avoid up and down movement, we were provided with two rooms ( 4&5) at the same level as the restaurant. It made our stay very comfortable. The view from the room was excellent, with the sun on the balcony in the afternoon. The food in the restaurant was well prepared and nice. However, the Restaurant does not open for 24yrs. It is a handicap as if any food requirement is there, one has to manage on his own. The best part was the spacious lawn below the restaurant. One can sit for as long as desired and enjoy nature. The reception office was prompt and could arrange for a taxi for short visits within 30 minutes.
A memorable visit to the place.

We visited Baikunth in Apr 2022 and our stay was a memorable one.
Right from pre booking to checkin to all facilities, everything was spotless.
The staff is extremely helpful, always attentive and happy to help.
The chef gets 5 stars…lovely food..the presentation, taste and the quality was top notch across different cuisines.
Vasundhara at the reception was always helpful and guided us to some good spots and deals for our leisure and shopping.
The hotel has paid lot of attention to tiny details like:

1. Having a hold bar in the shower area for elderly to latch on to if anything
2. The door rugs are all fitted so never a chance of slipping.
3. Option of inter connected rooms
4. Kama products as toileteries
5. Play area for kids
6. Gift shop
7. An awesomely placed bar

And muxh more.
If we have to go back, we will surely come here again.
A definite recommendation for all familes - this is safe and sound at its best!

A big shout to our taxi partner guide - Balwinderji and Umesh ji..
Do ask for Umesh ji for ur cab needs..!

The hotel is located a bit further up from the kasauli town and is very peaceful area with very nice views of the hills. Great booking experience with tarachand ji and landscaping of the property was serene. Good for friends, family and kids as well as they have activities as well as play area for the kids. You can get you car washed at a price of Rs 150 and could also plan a bonfire by paying some amount at the open area. Really liked the peaceful area better than the hustle and bustle of shimla.

I recently enjoyed a delightful 3-day family outing (26th Jan'24-28th Jan'24) at Baikunth. The hotel's prime location and overall property left a positive impression on us, creating a memorable experience.

The location of the hotel is undoubtedly one of its strongest assets. The property itself is well-maintained, with inviting amenities and a charming atmosphere that enhanced our stay.

While our overall experience was positive, there are a couple of aspects I believe warrant attention. Firstly, the cost of the food at the hotel's dining facilities struck me as quite high. While the quality of the cuisine was commendable, I couldn't help but feel that the pricing might be a bit steep for families. A more balanced and reasonably priced menu could make dining at the hotel a more accessible option for guests.

Additionally, I observed that the breakfast spread, while satisfactory, could benefit from a bit more variety. A wider selection of options would cater to diverse tastes and dietary preferences, ensuring that every guest finds something to their liking.

Our room was very nice with an exceptional view. The food was delicious. Hence the 4 stars. I so nearly left 3, because on all other fronts there was a sense of disconnect. Before arriving quite late and despite emails and messages from the hotel confirming our stay, we tried to respond several ways to advise them of our late arrival time. The reply was always , ‘sorry we don’t take incoming messages.’
When we did arrive , reception is in a separate building with its own car park - up two flights of stone steps. Thankfully we did not carry our bags up there on arrival because after checking in we had to drive to another car park and climb even more steps to reach our room. This was set ‘motel style’ in a building away from the main hotel. A series of dark paths awaited our venturing out to find dinner. No signposts or proper lighting were in place to help us. No staff could be found and we felt tired after a difficult journey.
After several abortive attempts we found an unlit dining room overlooking a nice garden where a party was taking place. Once a member of staff realised we had just arrived, he showed us back to the dining room and we were served a very nice dinner. His courteous attention retrieved the situation. Thankfully a waiter showed us back to our room.
At breakfast, the food looked nice but most plates and jars had no serving spoons or tongs. Checkout was not available in the main building. We had to venture down three flights of outdoor steps to do so.
This hotel feels as if it is all dressed up but with no captain at the helm. Such a shame because it has the makings of something so much better.
