We normally never go back to a holiday destination, but were tempted by an Autumn break at the Finca el Cerrillo, with some walking, wine-tasting, a magnificent lunch in a mountain restaurant, walking tour of Frigiliana. lovely food and the magical Finca itself. It is just perfect, the gardens, sitting areas tucked away all over the grounds, the rooms all... More

This is an exceptional place, made special by the owners who clearly love it and want their guests to love it too. Excellent location, beautiful bedrooms and public rooms, excellent food, and lots of quirkiness - eg the treehouse with honesty bar! We stayed with a Headwaters walking holiday and couldn't fault the hotel, the walks, the guide - all... More

This Finca is an old mill which has been thoughtfully and wonderfully restored by the owners Sue and Gordon. It offers facilities comparable with a four star hotel, nestled in the hills of the Axarquia region of Andalucia, about 40 kms from the coast. All the rooms are en suite and have been styled to reflect their own individual character.... More

Well it's been 2 years since my last stay and it was sooo nice to be back. 15 of us enjoyed walks, relaxing, sunshine, Nerja caves, winemaker's lunch, fabulous food, sunshine, a bit of yoga, finding the lost village of Ace Buchal again, enjoying bacon butties half way up a mountain, swimming in the pool ( it was fine once... Our stay was pretty much idyllic. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful gardens with comfortable places to relax, lovely staff who went out of their way to be helpful, delicious food, great rooms, interesting details everywhere you look, activities arranged every day. Sue and Gordon are wonderful people who have done extraordinary things in turning this farm into a first-class hotel with... More

Wonderful, informative walking holiday staying in the lovely Finca. Beautiful setting and comfortable accommodation in the small artistic venue, and great food. Returning in October!! Can't wait! A real treat.

Attending a Rosanna Ley creative writing course(which was amazing) this was my first time staying at Finca el Cerrillo. This lovingly converted olive mill in the most idyllic location was an unexpected bonus. The balcony of our delightful room overlooked the hillside opposite with small white villages tumbling down the hillside like icing on a Belgium bun. We worked every... More

This is my fourth time here at Finca El Cerrillo with the famous Rosanna Ley's writing group. It has barely changed. It's difficult to fault this place or to even think you're staying in a Hotel. The staff here are wonderful and look after us extremely well each day we are here. One of our party had fallen ill and... More
