We stayed at this B&B for 3 nights during our trip to Italy. It is set in the middle of the quaintest village. The hosts were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. We felt like family. We will definately be going back and hopefully for a longer period. It is located in the centre of the village with cute little shops, churches and pjazzas surrounding it. Parking was easy. There was even a street market outside the B&B which spread into the pjazzas and through most of the village. Our rooms were cleaned and replenished daily to an excellent standard.
I had stayed at The Eliseo in 2016 for a week with a group of friends on a walking holiday, and we all loved it. I returned with my family in July this year and it was even better than I had remembered. The rooms are simple but good value, and have everything you need. Mario and Debbie are friendly, generous and attentive owners, and Franco produces wonders in the small attractive restaurant overlooking the river.
A little known gem, set off the main road and close to a main square, it could be easily missed or passed by. The Elesio B&B was great, all the staff spoke very good English as Mum was a Brummy, meals were lovely, Mixed Grill was brilliant and good value. Room was clean and had comfortable beds, also had a lovely view of the commune at the rear. Overall Mario and his family were lovely people and I would recommend staying here. 😊
Mario and Debbie have a quaint B&B located in Gallicano. Old Italy at its finest! 😊 Restaurant had flavorful foods. Reasonable price! A family feel environment and knowledgeable about the area! The internet was spotty in the room, but worked great down in the restaurant area!
We had a nice double room with an extra bed for a family of four (kids 7 & 4). Very friendly staff and a brilliant location close to the older parts of Gallicano! Great restaurant with great food as well!
Spent a week in the Elisio B&B with friends and ate in the restaurant. Both excellent value for money despite our poorer brexit pound. Room very comfortable and food, including breakfast and dinner, superb. Well done Mario (boss) and Franco (chef).
Stayed here for a week with friends on a walking holiday. Mario and his family are excellent hosts. Rooms though simple are well maintained and with air conditioning. After trying the restaurant on our first evening we booked for every night - high quality local cooking and with good wines at sensible prices. Superb friendly service. A really excellent stay. Highly recommended. For a bonus and unexpectedly our stay coincided with the town fiesta - sensational and what a finale - a smaller version of Mardi Gras in Rio but better! One of my very rare 5* reviews
We spent two nights in July at this wonderful place. On the first night, my husband wasn't feeling well and the owners cooked food for him and let me take it to our room, while our daughter and I enjoyed our meal at their simple but really good restaurant. We happened in town on the "first exit" of the carriages of St. Jacob - an amazing show with breathtaking costumes. Please don't miss it. Our daughter had the experience of her life. Roms are really clean. They have two triples, we stayed in one and the space was sufficient. Beautiful view of the mountains. A really cosy feeling, as you let yourself into the house with just 6 hotel rooms. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, with the nice gesture of water and orange juice put on the table as you arrive. Our daughter was served hot chokolade for breakfast and was thrilled about it. There is the additional possibility of eating outside, weather permitting. A great base for exploring the nearby sights, including the Grotta del Vento. All in all, this place gives you the feeling of being a house guest rather than a hotel guest. Did I mention extremely friendly and sincere service? This is definitely a place you want to return to. Well done, Fam. Simonini! Keep up the good work.…
We stayed here for one night and enjoyed our stay! The staff was very friendly and welcomed us warmly. The room was comfortable and clean. We also warmly recommend the Eliseo restaurant!! we had there dinner, the food was delicious and the service was excellent, the menu represents the local typical menu and is great!
Eliseo Bed and Breakfast is family run since 1950. you are greeted and looked after as if you are one of the family. The home cooked traditional Italian food along with the house wine was one of the highlights of our stay. The room was clean and had everything we needed.
