I stayed here for a week whilst attending a glassmaking course locally. Claire made me feel very welcome in her beautiful county house. Complimentary tea and cake was served each day as i got back from the course. The breakfasts were cooked to order and the scrambled egg with smoked salmon was perfect. The room was very well equipped and comfortable....

We first spotted this superb west-country venue when planning a leisure trip last year. The website had a very attractive video showing the place in all its rural glory. This video didn't do full justice to Stablegrove. A beautiful 6 bedroom fully modernised (very tastefully) country house. Large, airy, bright bedrooms with great country views and all with en-suite facilities....

A beautiful warm and welcoming home from home! I spent 2 nights here while attending a local glass workshop and I can only say that it was perfect place to come back to relax in following a busy day. Claire was a wonderful hostess and nothing was too much trouble.Great choice at breakfast and tea in the lounge after class...

I stayed here earlier this week while attending a class at a nearby glass studio. What a lovely B&B! Terrific hosts who make you feel very welcome, great food and hospitality, and beautiful surroundings! Can't wait to return!

Our unfortunately very short stay could not be faulted. We were made to feel incredibly welcome and the facilities are first class. Everything that you could possibly need has been thought of. Superb breakfast capped our all too brief visit.

Only stayed for one night. Well received by pleasant and helpful hosts, given coffee and cake on arrival. Room was top class, breakfast was better than I have ever had at B & B. In a situation where the smallest details can make a big difference nothing was missing. Booked another visit before we left.

We have never felt so lucky - having initially planned to stay elsewhere, we found out that Stablegrove had just had a cancellation and because its position was close to where we wanted to be, we jumped at the chance to stay there. Everything is perfect about this place. From the entrance right up to the front door it is...

What a place! We had booked in for what turned out to be a rainy spring weekend and could not have wished for a better place - coming home to a roaring fire in the evening, board games, billiard, self-serve bar, lovely room (we stayed in the loft), outstanding breakfast, outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended!

I arrived at Stablegrove tired after a long drive from Hampshire on a very dark night. Claire ushered me in, took my bags and sat me in front of the fire and made me a pot of tea! She also brought brownies (yum!) My room was fantastic with a comfy bed, lots of supplies and a heater because it was...
