We all had three courses and the food was excellent, all of a very high standard. Lovely surroundings for a special occasion or just a really good...

The Abbot's fireside is not only a lovely little hotel it is also an excellent restaurant. myself my wife and two friends enjoyed the most wonderful evening there. The building exudes atmosphere, the staff are great and the food was delicious. Give it a try and i guarantee that you will want to return, James Stewart

We were looking for a weekend away with a trip to Canterbury. I found this beautiful 15th century Hotel. I cannot recommend this enough. The staff greeted us by opening the door on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble. The Hotel was so interesting with a lot of history. The rooms were so delightful, each one very different and big...

Beautiful place and lovely hosts. We stayed for one night in the Richmond room, which was full of charm and character but with all mod cons. Dinner in the restaurant was superb and we made the most of the late September sunshine and had our delicious breakfast served outside. We were really impressed with the welcome and service we received...

After visiting several venues in the area looking for somewhere to get married, we decided upon the newly re-opened Abbot's Fireside. From the moment we booked the, Helen listened to what we wanted and created a tailor made package for us. I stayed at the hotel the night before the wedding and enjoyed a lovely breakfast before our girls and...

The building is beautiful, the potential is great - nice people, good food, comfortable bed... but on a busy evening the flaws showed. Why were there no extra staff to help ? - long waits for food and signs of standards slipping, with no apparent apology to the French guests gulping down their late food to rush to the Shuttle.
