Dalhousie Castle is a beautiful 12th Century building oozing with charm and mystery. The biggest mystery however is why anyone would go back again after staying once! I've just returned from a one night stay that did little to inspire or relax me but most importantly, I'm still hungry! When we arrived the welcome was severely lacking. There was no...

What can I say, this place is amazing and then some, the views and building magnificent (just look at the pictures) & that my friend, is where the magic ends! When we drove up, I was so impressed, that all I could do was admire the beauty of the place. We arrived at 21.30 and all we wanted was some...

I'd really like to give this hotel a 3.5 rating but as this is not possible, on balance have given it 4 stars Check in was easy & the receptionist was polite but the only information we were given about the hotel was that breakfast times were on our card . We had to ask the whereabouts of the various...

Bought my wife an itison voucher for 2 hours in the Spa, a 50 min treatment each, and afternoon tea. Overall I thought it was an excellent visit. I've been to better equipped spa's but thought this was perfect for a couple of hours. It's not the biggest but what is there is fresh, clean, modern and with a good...

Only been here a couple of hours. Went to the bar. Sorry there is no bar. There is a room where you sit and some person who looks at you like you dont belong there gives you a list of drinks. No draft beer at all! £4.60 for a 330ml bottle of pale ale. Not a good start. Two choices...

Popped down to the Dalhousie for a quick break , absolutely breathtaking internal and external, even with a January chill. We were upgraded on arrival which is always good business sense in the quieter months, other hotels should take note ! It was very relaxing and the food was excellent both for our dinner and breakfast in the sunny orangery....

Took my mum here for a Saturday spa trip deal including dinner, bed and breakfast. The castle is beautiful, lovely grounds and really nice walk down towards the river. Great falconry with massive range of birds of prey which we loved. Food in the orangery also very good. However....I can't help but be really disappointed that the Spa was out...

Very disappointed ... didn't even get to stay here. Booked for a weekend to celebrate my wife's special birthday. Grandparents arranged for children. Received an email 5 days before check in giving me details of spa and facilities. Requested sample menus and they were supplied. Emailed to book meal times and ask about booking spa ... no response. Resent email...
