Chose this place for my husbands birthday dinner after reading the Tripadvisor reviews. Inside, the pub has a modern, open plan interior. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. It was quite busy with a large table of people dining, but it made no difference to us, our meal was leisurely but not delayed in any way....

This hotel or pub has been modernized which has really ruined the old world charm. It has a very limited selection of beer. The menu is good but very expensive for what you get. It was a bit disconcerting that when we arrived at 4 o'clock and rang the bell at reception no one came even though it said we...

Stayed for one night. Lovely building set in a very nice rural location (perfect to get to the airport, if you have a car). The one staff member we encountered throughout our stay was excellent and very helpful. Dinner was good with large portions. Room was clean, but beds were too soft for our liking and tv was too small...

This is your average Inn, nice little place to stay, reasonable price. The room was okay, comfy bed and clean, cant complain. Booked as read it near stansted airport and short taxi away...not true cost £23 and not that close to airport. You do get free parking however it works out cheaper to use carpark. No shuttle bus like other hotels which are closer and not much more money. Room was not great..leaking guttering outside kept us awake and we could feel...

What a lovely afternoon for the children. The whole pub had been specially decorated and there were so many fun things to do which delighted them. Happy children = happy parents! Thank you for going to so much effort.

Nice room and great bath, could do with a little finishing. Super king bed was comfortable, however it was two beds together. Breakfast was good with fresh cooked toast and coffees. We also eat in the bar in the evening and the staff worked hard to make our evening good with great service.

Booked very last minute, the staff were really nice and breakfast was good, our bed was huge and comfortable, the room was clean, quiet, and very accommodating, didn't realise the pub was shut on Sunday night, the staff informed me if we had rung ahead the would have saved us a couple of roast dinners,so keep that in mind.

We phoned ahead to inform them we were running late and finally arrived late in the evening. The kitchen had closed down but when we asked about were the nearest place was to get food the lady on duty kindly offered to make us some sandwiches. Although they wee basic sandwiches the ham wasn't the processed type and was thickly...

Nice and friendly staff and good food. Room was great too. Would certainly use them again. Easy to get a cab and only 10 minutes from Bishops Stortford along with being only 15 minutes from Stansted Airport.
