On first impression the hotel looks really nice and when you enter the reception area it's quite welcoming, but it went a bit downhill after that. We stayed for 5 nights in a family room. The room was a reasonable size, didn't feel cramped, but it could have done with a good clean. You could see the dust built up...

We had a lovely stay for three nights. The view over the estuary was beautiful and the food was excellent. We had dinner on the second night. Sadly we had no hot water in the room though we went swimming and so managed to have a hot shower in the leisure facilities. The room, whilst comfortable, is in need of...

We went to the restaurant for my Mum's birthday. Sunday roast poor, Yorkshire puddings dry, burnt, veg mainly mange touts and over done. The garlic mushroom starter odd as served with a crusty bread roll which sat in the sauce! The service was slow, not sure why as there was just our party of 7 and one other group. It...

Not a bad location and on paper the hotel had everything we were looking for and a great price. Then we checked in. Room on the surface was nice bar a few stray hairs on the bedding and a random sticker on the pillow. When we finally could get through to reception on the phone they brought a iron and...

Myself and my Elderly Father stayed here for 2 nights B&B in October while visiting the local area, we were impressed with the great deal we got with Groupon, 2 nights B&B for £85, we stayed in the main hotel building and our room looked over the car park, the room was very nice and tidy and had everything you...

Stayed here two nights for a quiet family getaway. The location, once you have found it, was great, close to many quaint seaside towns. Ensure you ask for a riverside room for stunning views. The leisure facilities were ok, ample for the kids. Didn't eat at the hotel but the inn next door was good.

Stayed 2 nights with friends on a Waitrose offer. Room was nice, but only offers foam soap dispenser! The restaurant food was very good (meal deal), and the breakfast, (particularly the poached haddock with poached eggs) was fresh cooked and superb!! The view from the deck is brilliant. Only drawback is many rooms are approached externally which may be a...

For the money we paid, I really expected more...We've stayed in better for less!! Overall we had an enjoyable time, because we visited the hotel with friends. I would like to start with the positive points...When you enter the hotel it looks lovely... The decked terrace, at the back of the hotel, which overlooks the most stunning view was beautiful....

My husband & I have stayed at this hotel several times. Lovely hotel. Staff are excellent. Beds very comfy. Great food. In a great situation by the river. Eat breakfast in the conservatory with a view of the water. Very relaxing place to stay.
