Set in idyllic countryside this grade II listed hotel and restaurant is exemplary on two counts: the ambience and the food. Ostentatious medieval décor is abundant here, with warm, rich reds underscoring exposed beams and polished oak furniture. The attention to detail is superb: suits of armour guard the corners, portraits of Tudor monarchs adorn the walls, candelabras dress the...

I've been going to the Churston Court for about 30 years. It's a fantastic medieval manor house, wonderful decor and in a great location. However, all of these do not make up for bad service and poor food. Please sort yourselves out, get a good chef, and get organised. We don't want anything fancy, just decent, honest pub food served...

I've eaten here many of times when in Devon on holiday and have also stayed here on business when I have been in the area. The food they do is amazing - especially the steak with peppercorn sauce. The rooms are of traditional style but are very well done. Couldn't recommend the place high enough to eat. The bar is...

He is a brilliant chef in his own right and we couldn't have been more pleased, there were six of us and all said their's was faultless...

We went to try out the new menu and it was outstanding, every course was beautifully presented and the flavours were superb with some fabulous deserts presented very creatively . We probably tried 75% of the dishes on the menu across our party and each was of the same high standard. Service was also spot on, attentive and engaging ....
