We had a lovely weekend here to visit Kynren. Owners were delightful, very welcoming and friendly. Stayed in our campervan, clean toilet, good shower, pot washing facilities. Can be noisy with the the road, but it didn't disturb us. We would visit again - definitely!

This is an excellent place to stay, easy access, welcoming host, comfortable rooms and tasty breakfast. (You need to tell Paul, your host, the night before if you do not want the full works for breakfast!) The rooms are comfortable and there is a more that adequate lounge for guests to use. Greenhead is only 10 minutes away from the...

Stayed at the Greenhead for four nights in April. Very comfortable, clean rooms with flat screen TV, free wifi, hairdryer, kettle etc and a bath with overhead shower. The twin room we stayed in was a good size with sliding door leading outside to a patio. The old fashioned, cosy bar at the bottom of the hotel with a seating...

We stayed for one night, due to an early morning meeting close by. We were greeted by the very friendly owner, and shown to 2 very nice adjoining rooms, which were large and clean, with more than enough amenities. The owner arranged a breakfast tray for my daughter who had a very early start the next morning. Both rooms were...

Spent a lovely few days again at the Greenhead. The rooms are tidy and spotless. You also have the use of a large guest lounge. The breakfast is excellent and will set you up for the day. Paul has been running the hotel for many years and nothing is too much trouble. Got some excellent advice on local pubs and...

Very friendly. Warm, friendly, welcoming and helpful. We were treated like old friends. There was clean linen every day and a great breakfast. It was ideally situation for Durham, Hadrians Wall, High Force Waterfalls and Corbridge.

A lovely quiet and comfortable venue, extremely clean and well decorated with a unique style even if it has pink bathrooms in some rooms. Not good if you cannot manage stairs as the quirky placement of bedrooms means that two of the rooms are up a spiral staircase and all others are up steps. They have a fourposter bed in one...

Stayed here 25 years ago on Honeymoon, nice to see it still going. Lovely place friendly owners even let us try a record we had bought in Gateshead on his record player in the lounge, even though it was a rather rude record. Loved and went back the following year with parents and in laws, had the same room as...

What we found was a fairly basic B&B. The shower was more of a dribble, I chose not to use it the second day. It stated that the owners would book meals for you in local restaurants however we were told it would not be necessary to book at that time of year and so we ended up having to...
