My Wife & I spent a really relaxing weekend at the George Borrow Hotel in room 8. The room was well appointed, with everything we needed. The staff were all really first class, very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were absolutely great, and the evening meals were just what we wanted after all the fresh air and walking that we...

Stayed one night while travelling around Mid Wales. Made very welcome, good breakfast. Impressive views in beer garden. Would recommend if you want a clean room and a decent meal in a stunning location very close to the Red Kites at Nant yr Arian.

The room was tired, and in need of some redecorating, wi fi worked well but no O2 signal. Breakfast was as expected and reasonable. The hotel? is way out on its own , so eat before getting there or eat pub grub.

We went for a evening meal here on Tuesday the 2 august, as we walked into the bar my wife noticed it had a thing up on the wall saying Tuesday night was curry night and you could have a curry and a drink for a set price, I then asked for a table for 2 and was directed to...

Thank you for your comments. The notice regarding the set meal does quite clearly state Bar Meal Special.(Curry and Chips Only) therefor not a false advertisement. The meal in the Restaurant is served with Salad Garnish - Nan Bread and a choice of (Chips - Rice or 1/2 and 1/2) I myself was on the bar that night and asked...

Went for Sunday lunch with family. Very busy, so just as well we booked. Very friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The roast beef was wonderful and there were plenty of fresh vegetables. Good choice of desserts. A very quaint old building but could do with a little tlc.

After a real mix up we were faced with going back home or trying to find somewhere to stay at very short notice. The George Borrow came up as having a room available. I phoned ahead as we were travelling with our small dog and thankfully was told that it was no problem. It turned out to be a blessing...

Undoubtedly very friendly, but this place is in need of a major makeover. Bed was very bouncy and uneven, every time I moved I nearly threw my wife out of the bed! The shower was weak and the decor in a bad way with evidence of damp.Grounds could also be better. Beautiful location with waterfall and could be such a...

I must say I'm not a fan of Cavery Sunday lunches being a chef, however today we had Sunday lunch with the family. I must say it was one of the best I've had anywhere, Welsh mature beef and pork were both on the unit. Large selection of vegetables, piping hot!!!! Also a very good home made meat gravy that...

The hotel was on the main road so easily found and we were greeted by the lovely Karen. Our room was ready despite arriving many hours early much to our delight. We stayed in the family room which was a good size for 2 adults and 2 young children. The room had a double aspect so we looked out into...
