Such fun to read your review!! We are glad you enjoyed so thoroughly! While we appreciate the technology free zones, and the opportunity to connect with each other and nature when we unplug.... we want future guests to know that we are also working to expand internet speed and availability into our Library and Lake meeting space. In the meantime,...

Unfortunately, we did not actually stay there but had the pleasure to have a very informative tour with one of the knowledgeable staff members followed by a wonderful lunch with Juan & Liz. We can only tip our hat to Juan's vision, knowledge, perseverance, hard work and above all his passion. Rancho Margot is a true inspiration! Chris & Graziella...

Everything about this place is amazing. It is a ranch that has strived to use and reuse all their resources in order to leave the smallest footprint possible. The staff is super friendly and professional. The food is AMAZING. The cooks were more than willing to explain how dishes were made so I could do it at home! My husband...

My wife Debbie and I had a wonderful experience at Rancho Margot. Yoga daily, healthy food, interesting guests, volunteers and staff and beautiful surroundings. The tours, trips, hikes and accomodatioms were perfect for us. The mission of the Rancho Margot is present in all aspects of our stay. We look foward to a return trip!

On arrival at Rancho Margot it was difficult to get a scope of the place. The reception area is small and there is no grand entrance. It quickly becomes apparent that EVERYTHING here is thoughtfully and passionately designed. From the bar and dining area to the walkways, signage, and lush plants. This isn't a place to stay but one to...

We loved rancho Margot! The place is beautiful, we were very impressed by the self sufficient facilities, the workers and volunteers are kind and helpful (our horse riding guide, Alejandro, was particularly friendly, we really enjoyed our afternoon with him, as well as Aurelio who was our kayaking guide). The food is excellent. We also enjoyed the yoga classes in...

Thank you for your kind words and we are so glad you enjoyed your time here at the Ranch! Bungalows 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are the most remote, with 14, 15, 16 and 17 being the closest to most common areas, the restaurant, bar and tour office. As you may have learned through your tour, our warm pool...

I visited Rancho Margot with a friend and we stayed in the bunkhouse which was great. We slept with mosquito nets which we're actually really quite comfortable and fun :) The grounds are amazing. We took a tour of the place when we arrived to see how everything worked. Wow! These guys know what they are doing. They grow all...

Great food, nice staff, farm and beautiful land! For 270 a night we had a gorgeous cabin with a view. Sounds great right ? Wrong !! On our tour we find animals chained up and caged brutally. The pigs raised for meat are jammed into cages with metal floors far from nature. They never get to come out! The cows...

Thank you for your comments. We are glad you found the food great, the staff nice, our farm & land beautiful, and your bungalow gorgeous. We are sorry about the coconuts... I was recommended this place by a friend who lived in La Fortuna for a while. I was not disappointed. Rancho Margot is a sustainable ecolodge that is quiet and secluded in the mountains. There are activities to do at the lodge that are included in the rate, and there are trails through forest. The lodge is so beautiful and...
