A lovely little botique hostel close to the Arenal Lake and with a great view (weather permitting) of the Arenal volcano. With tent rooms/dorms as well as private rooms available there is something for everyone. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly and the owner speaks German, English and Spanish fluently. You can enjoy a free one hour yoga session...

We flew into Libera arriving mid day and headed towards Arenal stopping along the way we arrived at Essence Arenal Hostel around 6:30pm and got a great room with a view of the lake. They called it a tent, but it was a very sturdy permanent structure with a private porch over looking the gorgeous lake and a comfy bed....

We spent three nights at Essence Arenal and our stay got beyond our expectations. The location, the outlay of the camp and finca were just great. We booked a deluxe room and found it well appointed with a comfy wet area for showering. Food was a unique experience every single day with Liliana in charge for the dinner menu. The...

We arrived when it was pouring rain. Went up the hill in the van with no shocks. It was an adventure. The hostel had no wifi, which was a feature we loved, but also found out was temporary. So, they do have wifi. We also thought they didn't have warm water, but they do. Basically, we thought we were getting...

It was amazing!good vibes, amazing food (lovely chef), fantastic views, good treatment and reasonable prices for rooms and tents. We were 7 in total, all agree it was amazing. It has a organic farm 25 minutes away from the hostel but the walk is sooo worth it. You can choose the trial or a normal path to get to it....

Beautiful flat spot with a spectacular view of both the lake and the volcano.5 $ if you bring your own tent. The 5 minute walk from the parking lot is more like a 10 minute trek. Breakfast and dinner are available. There is a lovely natural pool. For those people without a tent they have large tents set up on...

Yoga is every morning with the wonderful Melissa. She is like a bird of paradise which makes the whole experience of being high up on a hill overlooking the lake and the volcano even more special. Waking up early to walk a trail in the dense jungle, skip over a fresh water stream and then ascend a tropical organic farm...
