The resort is normally closed during the month of September, so there were no guests to evacuate. There are multiple travel website forums that have been sharing information about Irma damage. I've read that the resort is roughly 75-85% damaged. I have seen a few posted photos and videos which do show damage. The Coco Beach bar and restaurant was leveled to the cement foundation and everything is quite bare and exposed with having the palm trees gone. Their website has not been updated with any information.
