PROPERTY’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I just love reading TA reviews sometimes, don't you? Someone actually wanted to give this a five star, but decided on four because of its remote position! WHAT? Yes this is remote, yes it's old....it's a thousand year old castle! That's the point isn't it? When do you ever get to stay in a place like this. And the value...

This castle is a masterpiece. All the rooms are amazing and so different. The story of the castle is amazing, the saloons, every single thing. I love having coffee there or spending a romantic weekend. I highly recommend it.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our Border Collie Dexter, enroute to Zahora. The hotel itself is atmospheric and has been beautifully renovated, in keeping with its traditional historical past, with plenty of nooks and crannies to see. The hotel also has a lovely swimming pool with patio area, although we didn't take advantage of that as we didn't...

I have stayed in many castles and country houses and I really enjoyed staying in Castillio de Buen Amor. The facilities are 5 star with lovely rooms and lots of little pasages and secret areas to explore. The food is great, we ate there in the evening and the breakfast was varied and plentiful. The food selection in the morning...

A very unique and enjoyable experience. We were touring on motorbike and stayed for 1 night. Rooms were fabulous, spoilt only by the smell of ambi pure plug in. We opted for evening meal in the restaurant, the only down side was that the restaurant opened at 9pm for dinner and 9 am for breakfast. Both meals were enjoyable. you...

Settled in the countryside outside of Salamanca, the Hotel Castillo de Buen Amor inspires from the time you pull up to the grounds, as you find your way to your room, and when you're enjoying the fabulous dinner and drinks they serve. We had one of the 3 rooms with large terraces, and I would absolutely want one of those...

This hotel would have earned a 4-star from me if not the followings: For (1) Great sized comfortable room & shower (superior room). (2) Rustic & historical castle hotel. Against (1) Extremely remote location - make sure you have backup GPS e.g. Google Map. (2) No lift / elevator - if you stay at upper floors, be prepared to carry...

To stay in an authentic castle with many original features is a rare treat. We were only there for one night in August and enjoyed our stay so much we have just booked again for October. The castle itself is 15th century and has been beautifully restored. The rooms contain tapestries, paintings and a wealth of interesting furniture. The inner courtyard is particularly...

We stayed here when we were driving down to the south of Spain, for an extended holiday. We initially chose this hotel because they allow dogs and we could leave our luggage in the car over night and we were so delighted that we did! The castle is charming and the rooms are extremely comfortable, in fact it was so...

Went here for a family wedding. The castle itself, accommodation, facilities are amazing! Highly recommend. The staff however are not friendly, rude and generally not helpful. They took several full glasses of wine away from guests that were still drinking them on the night of the reception and there was a period where they weren't serving and wouldn't offer an...
