Just returned from a fantastic vacation at Bunaken Island Resort. The accommodation has a local and nice interior, the view astonishing and clean. The staff is very friendly and accurate. Food always fresh and well prepared. Can't find anything to be less enthusiastic about. The diving crew is very professional and they spoil you. You don't have anything to do... More

Let me start off by saying that all of the reviews below are absolutely right on. I have zero complaints with this resort. And let me be clear, it is a Dive Resort… Not a spa resort, beach resort, detox or yoga resort…a D-I-V-E Resort. If you are not a diver, please look elsewhere. If you are a diver, snorkeler... More

The diving from this resort is fantastic. The staff are friendly and the gear is in great shape. Rooms are fine--but be aware, however, that electricity is not made available (by choice of the resort) between 9 am and 6 pm, meaning no fan, no air con. I am quite surprised none of the reviews mention this because it was... More

The sunset behind Manado Tua, the dormant volcano, is just another reason to stay at Bunaken Island Dive Resort. After a day of diving or snorkeling, it's great to relax with new friends from all over the world with family-style dining. Villas are very comfortable and open to the breezes. Food is very generous and served by a helpful staff.... More

If you are planning on diving in Bunaken island, this is simply the best hotel in the island. The diving operation is excellent thanks to Swen, the owner of the dive shop. The dive masters have very good eyes to see and show you the creatures underwater and I must say it's amazing the diversity of animals you see in... More

We planned to stay here for 4 days and ended up staying more than a week. This place is a real hideaway, very relaxed. The view from our outside balcony was stunning, with breathtaking ocean views and beautiful sunsets every evening. When it gets dark you'll see a billion stars and in the morning you'll wake up to the sounds... More

We had a fabulous six night stay here with wonderful hosts and amazing staffs! Frank his wife & their staffs mostly exceeded our expectations, and we have to say mostly due to a mix up in our arrival pick up. We had prearranged for a Bunaken personal to meet us at the airport and transfer us to the docks and... More

After spending the last two weeks in February at Bunaken, we came away with that "we want to go back soon" feeling. The diving we experienced there ranked at the top, even compared with other very expensive resorts in Indonesia. I have been diving for 30 years (instructor level) and cannot remember a better dive operation. Sven manages a top... More

I think many divers might agree that you have to sacrifice something if you wish to have a good diving vacation. Either your dive resort will be very basic and almost ugly, or you have to pay twice or trice more than other resorts in the area... Bunaken Island Resort proved that you can have a perfect dive vacation. Bunaken... More

Just back from 10 days at the Bunaken Island Resort. Good views from my beach bungi. Nice atmosphere. Food could be improved. After a remark it turned much better. But the most fantastic is the diving. I was in Manado in 1997. At that moment there was no accomodation on the Bunaken Island. So we went diving from the mainland.... More
