We visited mookambika in 2017, we had a pleasent experience staying in this hotel. The people were very helpful and cooperative. The lady over the reception was very polite and helpful. But in 2022, things look different. The rooms were dirty and the people were so arrogant. Do not go for it. Choose a better one
Stayed with family of 10. Absolutely wonderful experience. Clean and comfortable rooms with sufficient space. Bathrooms were also clean. Linen provided was very good. Staff was extremely cooperative. Food was made to order. Good south indian home food. Most helpful. Didn't seem like staying at hotel. More like a friends place. Highly recommended. A five star from all 10 of us. 👍😊
We are visiting mookambika temple so many times in a year ,every vist we staying in mookambika Residency .In so many visits Im booking rooms through calls in that time they provided good service also that time Reciptionits lady was so gud she had some politeness in coustomer treating way ,,,bt in Nov -2021 visit one lady Recipitionits was treated us in very bad manner,,she was talked roundly with us ,,she refused to give gud rooms to us even she not ready to provide tavel soap etc we are paying full money for the day . When ever we ask about soap etc she replied no stock and also in our regular visit we staying in their only bt she dnt know how to treat regular visitors . After receiving money and documents she told we people to leave the room and search in other place. After we contacted owner of that Residency and owner gave some smooth replies and provided tavel etc But we nver saw such a rude Reciptionist…
Facilities are more than adequate for those coming to the temple town for the blessings of the godess and very much value for money. Staff especially Ms. Sati Kumari were extremely helpful in advising on local matters and arranging for the priest etc. The proprietor himself is very involved and went out of his way to arrange for a Senior priest to guide us through the worship rituals. Important to note, we went a couple if days before Deepavali and there were hardly any other visitors to the temple (and to the town as per locals). So our experience may have been colored by that factor.
Stayed for a night with my family at Abimon Residency. It is a budget hotel and goes beyond service to ensure comfort of the guests. This is situated about 500m away from the Mookambika temple and has all the necessary amenities. Hot Water was available 24 hours a day and the room was clean and neat. Air-conditioning can be availed for an extra cost which is reasonable. I stayed in Quadruple room which had two double beds and a sofa to relax. Each of these rooms has a small balcony overlooking either the road or the mountain. I would recommend the mountain view. The hotel has a lift which makes it useful for older people. The owner was very helpful in guiding on the various poojas and temple timings. The kitchen was not functional but she made sure that coffee and tea was arranged. There is a power backup if needed and the TV had all the basic channels needed. There is enough parking the near property. Overall a pleasant stay with my family…
Recently i stayed in Abimon with my family and the experience was so good. It is close to the temple and very neat and clean rooms. The attitude of the staff especially owner Mr. Pradeep Pillai and Ms Priya was remarkable. We enjoyed staying there and will recommend others to be there. It was a horrible experience of my visit to Mukambika trip ... We went on a family trip to Karnataka and had to stay one night at Kollur. Unfortunately we went to this Abimon Residency hotel. In the beginning the owner was very polite and so we paid full charges for AC family room . Most of us can’t sleep without AC so we always pay more and prefer to stay in AC room, that’s what we did there. Now it was a time to sleep after the darshan and whole day travelling we were very tired. We switched on the AC ,but when even after an hour the room was t room temperature we cud not sleep, so I went to the reception and asked them to help. The reception girl came to the room and tried to convince us that the setting was not proper as if we never operated the remote. Any ways this happened two three times. But she was pretending like all ACs are working fine. She also said it’s happening because we were charging our phone ! God know what was the connection? So we stopped charging our phones too. It was already very late n we n kids were feeling sleepy. But these people were behaving like they don’t know what’s happening. They were just trying to make time pass and were waiting for us to sleep in same room temperature in cost of AC room. Finally we got frustrated n asked the girl to call manger. Than the owner had to come with no option. He knew it very well that none of the ACs are working at all but he also started behaving as if he doesn’t know anything about it n started making time pass by changing settings with remote. He was not even ready to change the room even after watching us struggling for sleep.We all were very frustrated because of there careless behaviour and my mother finally just said that those ACs are not working n need a repair or change. She had to say it because he was literally trying to fool us and it his acting became unbearable t that point. The moment he realised that he is getting caught he literally started shouting on my mother ruthlessly . He came so closer shouting at my mother which was unbelievable and unexpectable. We all were stunned on his such rude behaviour that too with one leady. Me n my brother were very angry on his such rude behaviour towards our mother and asked him to leave the room. It was too late in the night so even after his rude behaviour we requested him to change the room but he was not ready to do that. Finally we decided to leave the place because ladies were feeling unsafe to stay. In that also he was trying to grab the money we paid but we fought and make him refund at least half amount . Finally with lot of arguments the girl convinced him to refund the money. But he deducted some amount which actually he should not have deducted because we didn’t get what we paid for. Any ways the worst thing was that heartless person made us leave the hotel in middle of night with old ladies and small kid who was struggling to sleep very badly. I will never ever recommend any one especially ladies with kids to stay here, as you never know what time you have to leave the place and for what reason!!!!!! Please avoid this please.…
Water was not available. Very dirty water came twice. Sometimes water was not available. The coat was damaged. The projected nails from coat caused injury to our legs. Both my children had to get first aid. Restaurant was not available all the time
stayed two days even a room boy not available this hotel was shame for all other star hotels no parking fecility no room service i cant see bath soap brush etc never choose this hotel room rent around rs 3000
When I came to know about Abimon Residency, thought it would be a great choice to stay at Kollur along with family. But to utter dismay, it was a terrible experience as a whole. From a rude staff to below quality rooms, everything was below par. Eventhough we had done the payment online, they try to charge more (even for keeping a luggage). Even the rooms and washrooms aren't maintained properly. The room which we got was not cleaned and had to bring it to their attention again. (We had already let them know our time of arrival well beforehand) Not at at all recommended.
