It's a distance from the Murdheswar temple. The property is huge bang on the beach. Clean and spacious. It has ample car parking space. Has a restaurant that serves decent food and personnel willing to do that extra bit for you.

Good for couple of days of solitude.

The appearance of the hotel was good and was well maintained. Its a bit far from the temple and is on the highway. The rooms were spacious, neat and well maintained had all basic amenities, but there was issue with the bathroom as we had checked in as a family and there was a space to cover up the transparent part.But the staff was cooperative and friendly and fixed it right away. The food in restaurant was good. The hotel said they arranged indoor and outdoor activities, but the golf was still under construction and the diving was not there in the season. Swimming pool and spa was good. There was no delay in service and in billing. Travelled in Aug 2013 (dropdown doesnt ve past date :)

Stayed here for one night on our road trip.Read about it on Tripadvisor from the review by Sameer_Agashe...Thanks mate !! What a choice...Off the highway...huge lawns and golf course( Not operational yet). Small but clean swimming pool...clean as long as the waterfall is off !! Hotelk had 4 rooms occupied...yet the guy on the phone said he cant assure me a first floor sea facing room !! Hahaha...laughable talk from these guys sometimes !! Anyways, he did give me the room i wanted..AS A SPECIAL favour !! hahaha.... Large room...large balcony. The restaurant serves good food...breakfast and dinner we ate here. But at dinner there were 2 tables of VIPs...probably Dr. R N Shetty's friends ... and so the service we got ..was lousy...because the whole staff was running around trying to please those 2 tables...Inspite of the fact that WE were inhouse guests and they were NOT !! a little noise...and then we got our food after 45 minutes. The Captain didnt even apologise and the next morning also he was quite rude....anyways, that said the hotel's location is super...service of course leaves a lot to be desired. We paid 2500 plus 500 tax for one night...and 200 plus tax extra for the mattresses ... Its a fifteen minute drive from the Main Murudeshwar Temple Complex and Beach...but worth being away considering that the main temple area is extremely crowded. The hotel's own beach is unswimmable i believe...never went there to confirm.

Very Expensive Hotel, but at the same time Rooms+Break Fast is like Low Budget Hotel. Bathroom was without Curtin's, due to which 24X7 Bathroom was WET. Even no Foot Rub outside Washroom.
Breakfast is just at below ordinary, When you are paying 8K, then Idli/Shira/Umpa/Tea.. What the hell this..... They should keep atleast one Authentic Karnataka Food choice in BF... only veiw from Gallary is amazing but for that 8K is very Costly.

I have stayed a few times at this golf resort hotel when visiting Murudeshwar. Prefer this place for my stay than staying at the main hotel near the temple as it has a beach front tranquility I like. Has a few rooms with great view of the beach and sunrise. It has a restaurant. Do not go with expectations of a large hotel. It has a rural golf resort ambiance. A very large beach facing property with fantastic scope for further development. If you have a car it is easy to get to the main temple town.

We had booked online for 2 days, on arrival we were informed there there was no AC or food at this resort, contrary to what is said on their website. They had charged us for an AC room. As there was no where else to go we accepted. They don't offer complementary mineral water in this resort, we have to request for water, they will give in a flask. we found cockroaches in the room. On raising the issue, they offered us to move to RNS Beach resort, the room allocated to us, was just vacated, and it was no way any one could stay in this room, it was smelling of alcohol and Cigarette. we refused to occupy this room, and said we would rather go back, to our surprise the guys at golf resort said they had given the room to some one else, so it was either this room or no place to stay. We even spoke to the manager, asking him how could they treat the guests this way, we later decided to go to Mangalore and stay. Personal suggestion "DO NOT STAY HERE".

We went to RNS Goft Resort with high hopes, but just to be crestfallen to find that their so called A/C rooms did not have a working A/C.. and not just in one or two room, but NONE of the rooms had a working A/C.
Our room had frequent electricity problems.
Most appalling part was -- they did not even provide pure drinking water (I think it's a basic right of every customer). On top of that, they refused to give bottled water as a complementary service, and ABOVE ALL, they OVERCHARGED bottled water ABOVE MRP price printed on the bottles.

When asked for contact number of the manager of the hotel, the front desk staff refused to give the contact number giving an excuse that they don't know it!

Outright liers!!

Please never ever stay with RNS Golf Resort in Murudeshwar!

We had booked 2 rooms in this resort and were travelling with a 2yr old toddler. The room was reserved 3 days prior to our travel date and the amount was paid in advance.

On reaching the resort, we were shocked to find that there was no restaurant. For food we had to travel 6-8kms. On top of that, we were anything but welcomed @ the resort. The moment we stepped in the lobby, the fellow in the reception was only keen in sending us away ASAP. He gave all kinds of explanations as to why we shouldn't stay in the resort!! (Yeah! they need to be taught marketing skills)

* non-functioning restaurant,
* broken lift etc..

The resort doesn't have any proper amenities as they claim to own.
* the swimming pool is unkempt
* Golfing is not available
* the "nature cure" part is namesake only.

If that is the case why R they open for business? The least they could have done was, seeing the booking records, called and beforehand informed us that the resort was in a hibernate state or even better put that piece of information on their website!!

ONly good thing is they got us rooms in RNS residency. Since it was a weekday, luckily the rooms were available @ RNS residency!

We stayed there for 1 day. The property is nice an huge. The best part is the lonely beach is next to the campus. You can roam around early in the morning.

The rooms were clean and spacious, but the locks were not working, you get charged for mini bar which doesn't work. Mouse were running in the AC vents whole night and nobody wanted to come and have a look even after informing it.

Restaurant is okay, Food is good. staff in the hotel is good, but there is no room service.

The staff is not supportive at all. We asked if they can arrange a cab for us and they straight away told no. The receptionist looks as if he is very much irritated to listen to customers, Even while I tried to give genuine feedback while checcking out nobody wanted to listen to it at all.

It has a huge potential, but need some attention, will not run only with the name of RNS.

We were three friends on Coastal Karnataka tour in a self driven vehicle. We stayed for 2 nights at RNS Golf Resort, Murudeshwara in November 2012. This resort has lesser online presence and the prominent online links, reviews and photos are of RNS Residency which is a hotel of same management group but in the heart of the town. RNS Golf resort is located a couple of kilometers away from the town of Murudeshwara and entrance from the National Highway into this resort is through a very small lane. Watch out for a board (that you can miss in the night).

This resort has a sprawling campus, meant to be a Golf course in near future. It is newly built, spic and span with great fits and finishes in all rooms. The room sizes (we took the first floor room facing the sea) are quite large and also have a large balcony from where we can enjoy the layered view of Lawn / swimming pool, bordered by coconut trees followed by sea to the horizon. Compared to the number of rooms, the resort area is very large hence we get a spaced out feeling. The swimming pool, though small, is clean. The back yard of the lawn opens on the beach, it is almost like a private beach away from the hustle bustle of the Murudeshwara crowd.

We had done a fully paid booking through our travel agent but the hotel reception desk took quite some time (over 15 minutes) to check us in. Given that we were one of the only two rooms occupied in the resort on that night, the time taken was a mystery to us, that too in-spite of calling the reception desk in the afternoon informing of our arrival. Nevertheless, all other experiences at reception desk including checkout were good. The food quality in the in-house restaurant was ok, nothing specific to write home about. The choice at breakfast was limited.

If you are visiting Murudeshwara temple from religious or archeological perspective, let me give an idea about what expectations to keep. The actual temple complex has been severely altered recently in an attempt to make it a tourist attraction. In the core temple area, there is a visible encroachment of glazed tiles, glasses, bright golden painted walls and roofs etc. It deprives the sanctity of a temple and comes across as loud makeover. The sight from temple overlooking the beach and beautiful treeline is obscured by a couple of modern structures with columns taken right inside the water (makes one wonder about environmental guidelines). These have a few window facades / glasses in purple (or an equivalent shade that mark a stark contrast against the natural beauty.

However, if you are on a day out looking for some background for photographs in theme park type of settings then Murudeshwara temple complex has lot to offer. The recent makeover includes a recently built Gopuram that is over 250 feet in height and there is an elevator that takes you to the top. There is a huge statue of Lord Shiva made out of concrete or PoP equivalent. The “Mudra” or the “Bhaav” on the face of Lord Shiva have come out really well. There are concrete structures coloured in bright golden colours depicting the chariot of the Sun God and a few other mythical characters / events.

All in all, Resort is excellent, the itinerary at Murudeshwara is left to the choice of the visitor. Weekends bookings at the resort are reasonably full because tourists come over from as far as Bangalore. If you manage to book on a weekend, you can enjoy full resort to yourself. As mentioned earlier, the resort is not much visible on the internet so giving contact numbers for reference: (08385) - 260060 / 268903 / 268900 / (0)901902903
