We were in house number 6, we loved it, it is beautiful. Clean, spacious and charming. In an incomparable context, the week we stayed we felt at home, and also thanks to host Eva, always attentive and willing to recommend plans, routes, places to eat.....A 10, we will repeat

We stayed with the family for a few days in La Hornera and everything was great. The apartments are perfect, with all the comforts and with a spectacular garden in which it is nice to have breakfast in the morning. The site is perfect to know Potes, Fuente De and Cain. Thank you very much for your hospitality Rosa!

We stayed here july 2007. The appartment house was very clean and spacious. It was located in a small park of 3 or 4 rural holiday houses but it was still very private and peaceful. The person who rented us the house was very nice but she only spoke spanish (but had an english speaking daughter who would help to translate sometimes). The interior of the house is okay, there is a good shower, and a bath. The bed was not very good, a rather soft bed. There was a tv, dishwasher, washing machine, micro wave oven and electic cooking. Outside you could let your wash dry in the sun in the garden.
We really liked the view at the back of the house (a small garden with a small brook which looked out upon a meadow with sheep and lots of different birds of prey, vultures etc), on the side of the house the view was also beautiful: mountains and clouds. The house was located in a small and quiet village, not very lively but very peaceful.
Groceries could be done in Potes, a tourist spot, about 20 minutes drive with the car. There were lots of outdoor activities. We did some nice walking tracks, some in walking distance from the house, others on top of the mountains, close by (with the car). There is also a cable close by (by car).
We would recommend this house for people who love a peaceful, quiet atmosphere and nature.
We would definitely go here again, even if the bed was not really great.

I spend 3 nights with my wife in the 2-persons villa.
Let's start with the positive things: the villa lies uphill in the small town Cosgaya and offers a lot of space, own garden and fantastic views on the Picos de Europe. Also the area is great for hiking, the nearby Fuente De finicular offers a great day trip and the small historic town Potes has good restaurants as well. The villa itself was very clean when we arrived and the host showed us around and was very friendly and spoke his English rather well. The room is equipped with a LcD-Tv set, has a small table and a couche, whereas the kitchen has a washing machine, microwave and refridgerator. The sleeping room is rather large and has some closets for your cloths. Outside, as said is a nice garden with garden funiture. So far for the nice things.
Some things for improvement:
The road to the villa is difficult to find and extremely narrow.
The couch in the living room is really outdated and ready for replacement. Also the angle towards the TV is not optimal (ok, who looks TV anyway, since there are only Spanish channels).
The kitchen is extremely small. When you really want to use it for dinner a/o it is too small.
The bed is very very small. When you're used to a queen-size bed, then even this is a struggle.
The villa is built with wooden beams, which will "work" all the night long, causing strange sounds every now and then (or it may be ghosts, according to my wife ;-))
Nevertheless reward the positive things and the owner can resolve some of the negative things rather easily!!!!

La Hornera consists of several apartments. The apartment I stayed at consisted of a bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen. It was spacious enough, comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen had a fridge, dishes, microwave, stove etc. The location is very convenient to explore Fuente De + villages next to it + Potes. A lot of travellers choose to stay at Potes but to me this rural location was much more preferable as you can get out of the house and see Picos de Europa.
One issue was, we have never seen the owner. When we arrived (around 9 pm), there was no one at the reception and we had to call the phone on the sign outside reception. The owner said they hadn't expected us to turn up after all, so they hadn't waited for us. It turned out they had left the key to our apartment someplace next to the door, and we spent 15 minutes looking for it. The same thing happened when we wanted to pay - there was no one we could give the money to and we didn't have the exact amount to leave at the apartment. So we had to call the owner and he charged the credit card. But of course, these were but very minor issues, and what's more, the owner offered us one free night to make up for the inconvenience, and this was very kind of him.
