One of the best settings in this area for dinner. Food is very fresh and carries on the local theme but is done with a twist and a quality not found in many other local restaurants. The setting in Ika bay cannot be beaten Shane they changed their name to the Germanic sounding 'Villa Schubert'. Hotel Ika was far more...

I give three points because of the location. It is amazing position, actualy on the beach. I realy like the fragrance of the sea and sound of the waves. The servis was proffessional and exellent. Daniel was also very proffessional when we complain about the food. The mussels was double, triple soultet and the wine in which was mussels too....

We went there just to have a dinner. The food was very tasty and the waiter was extremely kind. So the next day we decided to go to this restaurant again, mostly due to kindness of the waiter. Also this time the meal was tasty but the waiter (not the same one as the day before) was very rude. When...

We had lunch at this pretty sea side restaurant while on holiday in the area. The food was very good, the wine excellent and the service was friendly and helpful. The menu is quite extensive with plenty of local fish to choose from too. I had the fish soup which was really good. my husband enjoyed the spaghetti with seafood.

My wife and I had dinner at the Restaurant Belleview of the Hotel Ika near Ičići one evening in June. It was nice and quiet and the view over the harbour is stunning. The service was slow, although the restaurant was almost empty. The food was OK, but nothing special. However the view and atmosphere made up for that.

We were touring the Istrian Coast and came upon Hotel Ika/Restaurant Bellevue by chance. What a surprise! The restaurant had just opened for the season and was certainly not crowded. Their menu was typical for a beach hotel/restaurant but the service and quality/freshness of the food superb and reasonably priced. We were guided through the menu by Eugen, a superior...

Overwhelmed by the chaos of Opatia on a Saturday evening, we drove on until we fortunately found the Hotel Ika in Icici just a few kilometers beyond the Opatia city limits. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Our room was seaside on the third floor, a bit of a climb, but well worth it. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Welcome wasnt the best, and the room was on the third floor- and no lift. There was no offer of help to carry the bags. The room was clean and reasonably spacious. The balcony overlooked the bay and it was worth any inconvenience for a magnificent view. Similarly the restaurant (on the ground floor) overlooked...

I have been there with my girlfriend for long weekend. Hotel from outside looks nice, paid extra for the harbor view (thank you god for this decision). Room was nice with fresh refurbished bathroom. Spacious as well and the view is great as well. The drawback is that exactly behind hotel is the main coastal road so heavy traffic almost...

The room is very small, the bathroom is even smaller - unimaginably small. The drains are fully engorged. The price of the room was EUR 55 including breakfast. It is not worth to stay here for this price. It is much higher than should be based on the value of the hotel. Simply terrible...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
HOTEL VILLASCHUBERT "Hotel Villa Schubert" was built as a part of Austro-Hungarian architecture at the end of nineteenth century. It operated under the name "Hotel Ika" for the last fifty years but recently its original name has been restored, "Schubert", soul and splendour of the old Empire. Blended with surroundings and the see stands in a small fishing village-Ika , heart of Kvarner Riviera. Connected to the famous Emperor Franz Joseph promenade, between waves and sun, intimate luxury and gastronomic art. Hotel is of family type with seventeen air-conditioned freshly renovated rooms, free internet and parking space. Beautiful fine gravel beach in front of the hotel, excellent coffee and cake at the beach bar or an intimate dinner in our restaurant "Bellevue", one of the largest pearls of Opatija Riviera gastronomy , are the most common reasons mentioned by our loyal guests. The exceptional position of the hotel and individual access to guests, offers a wide selection of activities to fulfil your free time in the area . ... more   less
