We stayed literally 1 minute walk from The Crown Inn in a holiday cottage and it became our local for the week. The staff are very friendly and we loved the roaring fire everyday. A really nice village pub, we were made to feel very welcome.

I had read some poor reports on this pub and how unwelcoming it was. So with some In Trepidation we entered the bar in the after noon to book a table for that evening. The welcome from the female behind the bar seemed confused, might have been my accent? Anyway booked the table and was about to leave when 4...

Were do I start ... If you are thinking of staying here then think again.. If you are thinking of a place to rest after a day of activities then this is not for you .. If you want to get bladdered at the bar and go to sleep drunk then this is for you.. Rooms are dated and dirty...

Had a few drinks here one evening the staff and locals were friendly and welcoming. The dogs were more then welcome here to. A great location. Used the Indian takeaway that's here twice. A bit of an odd set up but they do fantastic food and highly recommend it. You can eat in as well (dogs not allowed here though).

Warm and friendly and good welcome from the local people. The food in the restaurant was excellent. One of the best curries ever. Lovely wood burner in the bar and good beers. So glad we found this pub.

All that you need to do is look at the large number of bulk bags of firewood parked at the front entrance and then take a look at the dreadful state of the car park. There is no need to venture further. Not the way to run a business and a real discredit to everybody involved.

I went in for a Indian takeaway, I took my dog in, she decided she didn't like another dog, who came to her, and snapped at the dog, I took her out, came back apologised, and the owner of the dog, told me, he would of thrown my dog through the window, my dog does not bite, she was telling...

My friend and I had booked here for a one night stay in a twin room, bit suprised at the cost for B&B (continental breakfast only) in a pub @ £75.00 per night but went ahead and booked it hoping for a lovely stay - what we encountered was apalling in levels of cleanliness, state of the room, the bed...

My friend and I had a one night stay in this vile place. On arrival we were met by the landlady still in here nightwear smoking a cigarette in the bar area of the inn. We were shown to our room by a member of staff who continually used her mobile phone. Our twin room was filthy with cobwebs and...
