We booked a one night stay to attend a local party, we booked via late rooms without viewing the place first. On arrival the man and wife that run the place came out to see us to our room. The room was fantastic and everything you could ask for was on hand. Breakfast was tremendous. I would highly recommend the...

Both of the rooms were great. You couldn't wish for more. Lovely beds plenty of room.. The Stable is equipped for...

We like to stay outside of Newcastle when attending the GNR each Autumn. This spot was perfect. It'd be technically wrong to say it was a silent spot (the hum of the A69 is audible) but it is peaceful regardless. Bardon Mill is a delight, a sleepy and tiny little stop on the transpennine rail and road route. Perfect for...

Having stayed here before, Carole offered us the chance to stay in their new self catering accommodation which they delightfully call the Snug. It is part of the main house, and is accessed via an outside staircase at the back of the house. Once inside you have your own self contained flat and as the name suggests it is 'snug'...

Great location for hadrians wall area. The family room we had was perfect - spotlessly clean with a good en-suite shower room. There were twin beds + a bunk beds. All had lovelly bedding. the room had an area to sit along with TV. A nice touch was a draw with games such as cluedo - which we enjoyed before...

Wonderful caring hosts who can't do enough for you including giving me a lift to Vindolanda excavations every morning. I have stayed three times in both the Hayloft and Stables accommodation. It is excellent, like a self-catering cottage, so private and Carol has thought of everything you could possibly need for a stay. The most generous veggie breakfast I have...

Nice peace'ful accommoda'tion but some motorway noise as the loft backs onto motorway. Breakfast has a full choice of full english or continental, all juices and grapefruit, cerals, yogurt, fresh...

I just spent a week following the Hadrian's Wall cycle way and stayed at the Coach House. Great accommodations, and warm, caring hosts. It was one the local pub, and now converted into a fine B&B. I was particularly impressived by the little touches. A free toilitery kit was provided, and like another reviewer said, my host gladly drove me...

Carol is a welcoming and helpful host at this comfortable B&B on the route of Hadrian's wall. The rooms are clean and cozily decorated, and the breakfast kept us walking for hours. Carol's daughter even drove us to the nearby Twice Brewed pub, where we had a great dinner.
