This camp was booked through our fabulous trip planner - Safari Specialists -- I was with my 16 year old son and we had a great three day experience here coming after 7 days of mobile camping. The food was delicious, the room luxurious and well-appointed, the staff fun and accommodating, and of course the main event - game drives...

ended up here after staying at other Kwando camps and certainly not disappointed. like others in this group service facilities etc first class with the highlight the local wild dog pack. spent great deal of time joining their hunt with a pack of 145 witnessing the chase ( missed the kill) but saw the aftermath of devouring the Kudu. greeting...

This was a great camp with a strong focus on the game viewing experience. It is great for photographers, couples and anyone who loves the open spaces of Africa. Every vehicle travels with a guide/driver and a spotter, who sits on the front left of the vehicle… except when lions or wild dogs appear and he jumps pretty quickly into...

Lebala is a beautiful camp with picturesque common areas and airy, spacious tents. This was the 3rd camp on our Botswana circuit, and we had had so many dramatic animal sightings at the previous camps, that Lebala seemed sleepy by comparison. In retrospect, though, I realize we saw lots of animals, including huge breeding herds of elephants (50+ animals), lagoons...

We enjoyed our time at the camp very much. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms and beds great and the food was good. Especially loved the show they put on for us one of the evenings. Our tracker and guide were very good and adjusted to the needs of each guest. We saw lots of great game and had a...

We spent 3 nights in Lebala camp and we really enjoyed our stay. The lodge is very very nice (albeit quite cold at this time of the year!), the personnel very caring and likeable, food great and the guide and tracer made this experience a memorable moment. We did not see a lot of animals but were able to witness...

Beautiful tent camp with delicious meals. The staff were so gracious and helpful. Our guides Esmile and Diesel found some great game sightings - close up to lions and an African Rock python. Our group of twelve women had a great adventure.

Lebala was the last of 4 Kwando camps we visited on our recent Bostwana safari. We were a group of 16 friends and were seamlessly transported by small planes from one camp to another - all arranged by Kwando...no small feat! Everyone seemed to agree that, although we enjoyed the wonderful service and the diversity seen from each Kwando camp,...

Following on from Little Kwara Lebala offered different terrain and plentiful game viewing. A great team under Action and Opelo provide fabulous service and excellent food. With Charles and TT looking after us in the vehicle we were royally served with varying game experiences from 200 vultures looking at a dead reedbuck to young lions nursing! Really good thank you.

'Intimate' and 'personal' are core Kwando Safaris values. The vast wilderness areas in which our camps are located are known for their remoteness and high quality wilderness experience. With the intoxicating sunsets, tranquillity and endless horizons, most people are reluctant to leave! In order for a camp to be included in the Kwando Safaris circuit, it must have the following characteristics: • Intimate and personal - no more than 18 guests per camp • Allow the sounds of nature to dominate • Be managed by experienced and talented citizens of Botswana with motivated and caring staff • Embody the unique Kwando 'Guide and Tracker experience' • Be staffed with guides with the experience and personalities to ensure that no activity is dull! • Limit each game drive vehicle to a maximum of six guests • Have structures that are semi permanent ensuring minimal impact on the environment • Demonstrate environmental best practices in daily operations including the use of renewable energy sources ... more   less
